Since <br />the consultant has no control over the cost of labor, materials, competitive bidding process, weather <br />conditions, and other factors affecting the cost of construction, all cost estimates are opinions for general <br />information of the client and no warranty or guarantee as to the accuracy of construction cost estimates is <br />made. It is recommended that costs for project financing should be based on actual, competitive bid prices <br />with reasonable contingencies. <br /> <br />7.0 PROJECT FUNDING OPTIONS <br /> <br />The Old Snelling Ave. / Old Highway 10 Trail could meet requirements for several pedestrian and multi-use <br />trail grant opportunities. Grant opportunities will need to be further researched for appropriateness of <br />selection and eligibility criteria, but some trail funding opportunities are included below. <br />Met Council Regional Solicitation – Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities <br />- Multiuse Trail and Bicycle Facilities <br />o The project could potentially score well in this category as a multiuse trail and “in -fill” project <br />provide connections and continuations to existing multiuse facilities <br />- Safe Routes to School (SRTS)
