request of the Board of Directors, produce the corporate books and records for <br />examination and audit. The duties herein enumerated may be assigned to a full-time <br />staff person at the discretion of the Board of Directors. <br />10.3.5 Treasurer. The Treasurer shall: receive and be the custodian of all the money of the <br />corporation received or disbursed; deposit all the money and valuables, in the name of <br />and to the credit of the corporation, in such banks or depositories as the Board of <br />Directors shall designate; sign all checks, which must be countersigned by the <br />President; reconcile the bank statement every month; report at regular Board Meetings, <br />the total receipts and expenditures of the Corporation for the previous calendar <br />month(s) and the amount of money on deposit; mail or deliver all payments authorized <br />by the Board of Directors no later than 7 days after authorization; make all <br />disbursements by check only; on request of the Board of Directors produce the <br />Treasurer's books for examination and audit; and perform such other duties as <br />prescribed by the Board of Directors. None of the officers of this corporation shall execute or <br />distribute any corporate documents to anyone other than Board members, except on the <br />authority of the Board of Directors. <br />ARTICLE XI. RECORDS <br />Section 11.1 Inspection of Books. The membership shall be permitted to inspect the books of the <br />Corporation at all reasonable times. The books of the Corporation shall consist of the <br />minutes and official proceedings as maintained by the Recording Secretary and the <br />Financial Statement as presented to the Board of Directors at Board Meetings. <br />Section 11.2 Checks. All checks and notes of the Corporation shall be signed by the Treasurer or <br />may be assigned to a full-time staff person at the discretion of the Board of Directors <br />Section 11.3 Fiscal Year. The fiscal year shall begin on the first day of January of each year. <br />ARTICLE XII. CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER <br />Section 12.1 Appointment. The Board of Directors shall employ a professionally qualified Chief <br />Executive Officer to be known as the Fire Chief who shall conduct the day-to-day <br />operations of the Fire Department. The Fire Chief shall be the Chief Executive Officer <br />of the Corporation. <br />Section 12.2 Policies. The Board of Directors shall set policies for the hiring, discipline, and <br />discharge of any and all personnel. It shall be the duty of the Fire Chief to administer <br />those personnel policies. The Fire Chief shall have the authority to hire, discipline and <br />terminate all members and part-time and full-time staff. <br />Section 12.3 Reports. The Fire Chief shall be responsible for recommending policies, programs and <br />plans to the proper committee and to the Board of Directors. The Fire Chief shall <br />annually prepare a financial budget of the estimated revenues and disbursements to <br />properly finance the programs, services, and policies of the Corporation. <br />7 <br />
