<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />MAYORAL PROCLAMATION AND PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Mayor Probst read the official proclamation recognizing and initiating the celebration ofthe <br />City's Fiftieth Golden Anniversary celebrating its incorporation on February 14, 1951. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst introduced Councilmembers Aplikowski, Grant, Larson and Rem, along with City <br />Administrator , Joe Lynch. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst acknowledged the City's new logo format, and recognized resident Derek Hames <br />for his efforts in developing the new logo at no charge to the City. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst briefly reviewed the history ofthe City's incorporation. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst introdtced Senator Mady Reiter for presentation of an official State of Minnesota <br />Resolution commemorating the City's Fiftieth Anniversary. Senator Reiter read the State <br />Resolution, and further congratulated Mayor Probst and City Councilmembers, residents and <br />staff. <br /> <br />Senator Reiter brought to the City Council's attention her recent introduction of proposed <br />legislation regarding sales tax exemption for City Hall construction costs. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst introduced Councilmember Beverly Aplikowski for additional remarks. <br />Councilmember Aplikowski recognized City Events Task Force members, City staff and those <br />present from the business community. Councilmember Aplikowski made a plea for additional <br />historical information from residents and businesses. Councilmember Aplikowski announced <br />that interviews would be conducted on site during the course of the evening. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst announced the pending publication of a history book of Arden Hills near the end <br />of 200 1, and reminded everyone to take a paperweight souvenir before leaving the reception. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br /> <br />Mayor Pro st adjourned the business portion of the meeting at 6:40 p.m. for those present to <br />participat n the ebration Reception. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />NOTICE OF MEETINGS <br /> <br />The next regular meeting ofthe Arden Hills City Council will be held Monday, February 26, <br />2001 at 7:30 p.m. at the Arden Hills City Hall Council Chambers, 4364 West Round Lake Road, <br />Arden Hills. <br />
