<br />I <br />I <br />I- <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />Ie <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I- <br />I <br /> <br />,ARDEN HILLIi CITY COUNCIL - lANUARY 9. 1995 <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />Mr. Winkel indicated that although staff is not prepared to make a final recommendation at this <br />time, it appears that the sewer and water connections are feasible and could be completed if <br />Council approves this request. <br /> <br />Mr. Winkel recommended that the concept of the sanitary sewer and water connections be <br />approved subject to a final report outlining the outcome of the issues listed above. <br /> <br />MOTION: Malone moved and Hicks seconded a motion to approve the concept of the <br />sanitary sewer and water connections, subject to a final report outlining the <br />outcome of the noted issues. The motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATOR COMMENTS <br /> <br />Acting Clerk Administrator Post noted a few items: <br /> <br />A reminder of the breakfast meeting to be held on Wednesday January 11, 1995 from 8:00 <br />a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the North Oaks Country Club, with the Suburban Area Chamber of <br />Commerce. <br /> <br />A request from the offices of Senator Linda Runbeck and Representative Krinkie that they . <br />would like to address Council at an upcoming meeting to discuss with elected officials <br />issues regarding the current legislative session. <br /> <br />It was by consensus that the Council indicated the worksession on January 19 will be a good time <br />to meet with the legislators. <br /> <br />COUNCIl. COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmember Keim inquired if a sign stating Child at Play could be posted near Hazelnut Park <br />at the comer of Stowe and New Brighton. Councilmember Keim indicated there are two day <br />care centers located near this comer with six to eight children attending each day care. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst indicated normally all such sign requests are forwarded to the Public Works and <br />Safety Committee. Superintendent Winkel indicated the request will be brought up at the next <br />meeting of the Public Works and Safety Committee and will also be discussed also with the <br />County. <br /> <br />Councilmember Aplikowski inquired regarding the Maintenance Materials Recycling Grant <br />award. Superintendent Winkel indicated a $90,000 grant had been received, but now the <br />participants are meeting to review sites and equipment alternatives. <br />
