Mr. Winkel recommended that the concept of the sanitary sewer and water connections be approved subject to a final report outlining the outcome of the issues listed above. MOTION: Malone moved and Hicks seconded a motion to approve the concept of the sanitary sewer and water connections, subject to a final report outlining the outcome of the noted issues. The motion carried unanimously (5-0). ADMINISTRATOR COMMENTS Acting Clerk Administrator Post noted a few items: A reminder of the breakfast meeting to be held on Wednesday January 11, 1995 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the North Oaks Country Club, with the Suburban Area Chamber of Commerce. A request from the offices of Senator Linda Runbeck and Representative Krinkie that they . would like to address Council at an upcoming meeting to discuss with elected officials issues regarding the current legislative session. It was by consensus that the Council indicated the worksession on January 19 will be a good time to meet with the legislators. COUNCIl. COMMENTS Councilmember Keim inquired if a sign stating Child at Play could be posted near Hazelnut Park at the comer of Stowe and New Brighton. Councilmember Keim indicated there are two day care centers located near this comer with six to eight children attending each day care. Mayor Probst indicated normally all such sign requests are forwarded to the Public Works and Safety Committee. Superintendent Winkel indicated the request will be brought up at the next meeting of the Public Works and Safety Committee and will also be discussed also with the County. Councilmember Aplikowski inquired regarding the Maintenance Materials Recycling Grant award. Superintendent Winkel indicated a $90,000 grant had been received, but now the participants are meeting to review sites and equipment alternatives.
