<br />I <br />I. <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />Ie <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />Ie <br />I <br /> <br />ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL..::..EEBRUARY 27. 1995 <br /> <br />1~ <br /> <br />Mr. Fritsinger indicated staff would recommend the City Council approve the Request for <br />Proposal for the preparation of a master plan for the Twin City Army Ammunition Plant and <br />direct staff to provide this proposal to the {inns identified as candidates for this project as part of <br />the qualification process. <br /> <br />Councilmember Aplikowski inquired if the Task Force had reviewed this proposal. Mr. <br />Fritsinger indicated the Task Force developed by the Mayor has not yet met. Councilmember <br />Aplikowski clarified, the Task Force she was referring to was the one consisting of Commission <br />members. Mr. Fritsinger indicated they had reviewed, with no changes. <br /> <br />MOTION: Hicks moved and Keim seconded a motion to approve the Request for Proposal <br />for the preparation of a master plan for the Twin City Army Ammunition Plant <br />and direct staff to provide this proposal to the {inns identified as candidates for this <br />project as part of the qualification process. The motion carried unanimously (4-0). <br /> <br />ADOPT RFSOLUTION #95-18. INTERIM STRATEGY TO RFnUCE NONPOINT <br />POLLUTION <br /> <br />City Administrator Fritsinger indicated in early 1993 the Metropolitan Council required local <br />governments to adopt an "Interim Strategy to Reduce Nonpoint Pollution". This resolution was <br />supposedly to have been done in 1993, but was not completed. <br /> <br />Mr. Fritsinger reviewed the requirements of each local government unit. He stated most <br />requirements are being met, but have not been identified. Mr. Fritsinger indicated formal action <br />is needed. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Malone indicated he remembered doing this before. Mr. Winkel also remembered, <br />but there is no formal record. <br /> <br />Councilmember Aplikowski indicated concern for the new Metropolitan Council information <br />and she feels more changes are to come. Mr. Fritsinger indicated this action should just be a <br />formalization to what activities the City is currently doing. <br /> <br />MOTION: Hicks moved and Aplikowski seconded a motion to approve Resolution #95-18. <br />The motion carried unanimously (4-0). <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATOR COMMENTS <br /> <br />City Administrator Fritsinger indicated a few items for the Council. <br /> <br />Mr. Fritsinger indicated Dan Winkel has accepted a position as Fire Chief for the City of <br />Andover and tendered his resignation to be effective March 10,1995. <br /> <br />Mr. Fritsinger indicated he is scheduling interviews for the positions of Aclmin;otrative Secretary <br />and Community Development Director. <br />
