<br />I <br />I. <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />.e <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />. <br />I <br />Ie <br />I <br /> <br />,ARDEN lULLS CITY COUNCIL - MARCH 27. 1995 <br /> <br />11 <br />, <br /> <br />Mr. Eric Lundgren of 1777 Gramsie Road, indicated on behalf of the children who play in the <br />area, it would be a disgrace to lose the open space. <br /> <br />Ms. Lois Rem of 1670 Glenview Court, indicated she is proud to be part of the co=unity, and <br />encouraged the Council to take into consideration the concerns of the citizens. <br /> <br />Ms. Shirley Franklin of 1823 Gramsie Road, indicated she did not feel it would be appropriate <br />for residents to contact Mr. Ogren, since the issue is not the type of development, but if there is to <br />be a development at all. She indicated concerns are for the greatest good for the greatest number of <br />people, the co=unity. <br /> <br />Ms. Nancy Vaden of 1795 Glenview, indicated her concern was in regards to her two small <br />children, and the wildlife in the area. She hoped her children could continue to grow in a co=unity <br />in which they could be proud of. <br /> <br />Mr. Don Moberg of 1629 Glenview Court, indicated his concerns are also regarding the wildlife, <br />he has seen deer and wild turkey. He indicated there probably is no other co=unity in the metro <br />area that can make this claim of seeing wild turkey. He noted the development would sever the <br />corridor for the wildlife. <br /> <br />Ms. Doris Canniff of 3946 Glenview, indicated concern that after development, the walkway will <br />become assumed private property and it will be difficult for residents to continue to use this <br />walkway. <br /> <br />Ms. Becky Freed, a student at Bethel College, indicated she is a photographer for her school paper, <br />to keep students informed of the issues regarding this project. <br /> <br />Ms. Freed indicated concern for traffic problems. She indicated there are various concerns regarding <br />this development, but rights are still in place, and will need to be respected. <br /> <br />Ms. Freed expressed concern that the perception of Bethel College is being tarnished. She wished <br />to encourage residents not to be too hard on Bethel College. She noted Bethel College's desire is to <br />be a good neighbor. <br /> <br />Mr. Dan Couture of 1681 Wedgewood Circle, inquired if Bethel College pays taxes on this <br />property. He inquired if the house across the street is owned by Bethel. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst indicated Bethel College does pay taxes on this property, but not property included <br />in their campus. <br /> <br />Ms. Angela Hames of 1839 Venus Avenue, indicated she would like to encourage the student from <br />Bethel College. She noted Bethel College has responded in a very positive way to the residents. A <br />
