I
I.
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I-
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I-
I

ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL - AUGUST 28. 1995

R

Ms. Garski indicated the residents had hoped to have the stop sign up before school started. The
residents had hoped the Council would take the word of those who live there regarding the solution
to traffic issues.

City Administrator Fritsinger noted he had spoken with the Ramsey County Sheriff's department
and they will be using their S.M.A.R. T. unit to help address the concerns of the residents and once
the speed limits are posted will increase enforcement activity.

Ms. Gloria Stenglein, 1785 West County Road F, suggested the Council monitor the traffic at
Mounds View High School.

ADMINISTRATOR COMMENTS

Upcoming Meetings.
City Administrator Fritsinger noted for Council information upcoming meetings on
September 11th and October 9th.

Pioneer Press Article regarding TCAAP and the casino issue.
Mr. Fritsinger noted the Pioneer Press article included in the Council packet regarding
TCAAP and potential issues. He noted he would be following up with a letter explaining the
City's current position regarding the TCAAP reutiIization. He will also be monitoring
upcoming legislation.

Capital Improvements Budget Request
Mr. Fritsinger noted in the Capital Improvement budget, a 1/2 ton two wheel drive pickup
was budgeted. He noted the Public Works Superintendent, Stafford, has requested a change
to a 3/4 ton four wheel drive vehicle.

Public Works Superintendent Stafford indicated he had found a 3/4 ton pickup for a slightly
higher price than allocated for the 1/2 ton pickup. He felt this would be better use of the
City's monies, because the 3/4 ton pickup can also be used for snow removal.

Mr. Fritsinger noted Staff will be coming with more formal requests in the future regarding
the pickup.

MNDOT Property
Mr. Fritsinger indicated he had given the Council information regarding the MNDOT
property and welcomed any comments.

COUNCll.
