<br /> I <br /> I <br /> Ie <br /> I Agenda Item 3e <br /> Finance Committee <br /> Chuck Mertensotto and Tom Steele, representatives of the Finance Committee, <br /> I attended the Meeting with the Committee's 1996 Goals and mission statement. <br /> They indicated that the Committee is dedicated to providing citizen input on <br /> issues that have a financial impact on the City of Arden Hills. <br /> I They shared a number of projects that they have under consideration, including <br /> closer liaison with City Department Managers, Livable Communities Act and a <br /> I sub-committee liaison with Alliant Techsystems. The Council supported the <br /> goals of the Committee and advised the Committee to determine whether any <br /> members are not planning on serving in 1996. <br /> I Agenda Item 3f <br /> I Public Works/Safety Committee. <br /> Arnold Delger, Craig Wilson and John Tholen, represented the Public <br /> Work/Safety Committee. They reviewed several projects completed in 1995 <br /> .. including a Safety Program, a review of the municipal Lift Stations and Red Fox <br /> Road Water Tower capacity. In 1996 the Committee indicated that the Highway <br /> 96 project will be a priority. <br /> I The Council again requested information about membership in 1996 and thanked <br /> the Committee for its efforts over the past year. <br /> I Agenda Item 4 <br /> AdministratorIDepartment Head Comments <br /> I Brian Fritsinger, City Administrator indicated that the 1996 estimated budget <br /> from the Ramsey County Sheriffhas been revised with a 4.7 percent increase <br /> proposed. The most recent estimate prior to this was a 4.5 percent increase. <br /> I Staffhas revised the proposed City budget with these figures and made <br /> appropriate adjustments to allow the proposed increase to remain unchanged. <br /> I Staff is currently preparing documentation to seek proposals from other insurance <br /> agencies on providing an agent of record. Mr. Bill Hite, our current agent of <br /> I record, has not been as responsive as necessary. <br /> Staff is also currently preparing a package to be proposed to be included in <br /> I Governor Carlson's Bonding Bill. Due to deadlines this proposal needs to be <br /> completed before Thanksgiving. The purpose is to seek funds to assist with the <br /> Ie predesign and design efforts necessary to continue the planning efforts of the City, <br /> County, State and Federal agencies at TCAAP. Mr. Probst indicated he was <br /> encouraged to see the City investigating various funding opportunities and those <br /> I <br />
