MOTION: Probst moved, seconded by Aplikowski to accept the land donation and direct staff to continue their efforts to proceed with the legal paperwork, and set a limit of five hundred dollars ($500.00) for any fees associated with transferring the title to the City. Motion carried unanimously (5-0). REVIEW REQUEST FOR A CLASS A PREMISES PERMIT AT POT 0' GOLD BINGO BALL FROM GOLDIE K. SIEDOW MOTION: Malone moved, seconded by Hicks to adopt Resolution #94-20, approving a Bingo Hall License Renewal Application for a Class A Premises Permit at Pot O'Gold Bingo Hall from Goldie K. Siedow. Motion carried unanimously (5-0). ADMINJ:STRATOR COMMENTS: Administrator Person referred to her comments in the packet pertaining to the additional coverage for "Open Meeting Laws". Council concurred that they would not be inclined to purchase this additional coverage. COUNCIL COMMENTS: Councilmember Malone noted he was in favor of supporting the Hibbing and Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce Departments' request to support House File #1757, and to adopt a resolution. MOTION: Malone moved, seconded by Hicks to adopt a resolution supporting increased protection from liability for private landowners who make their land available for public recreation without charge. Motion carried unanimously, (5-0). Councilmember Malone noted that there is a new sign at Blue Fox. He asked staff whether they reviewed the original signage, and noted he thought the original sign was non-conforming in either the size or the location. Staff will review the original sign request and inform Council of their findings. Councilmember Aplikowski noted that the Economic Development Committee has prepared their letters to the local businesses and they will be mailed shortly.
