ATHLETIC <br />COMPLEX, TCAAP <br /> <br />Council was referred to a memorandum from the Clerk <br />Administrator dated 2-15-89, relative to Council support <br />for the proposed athletic complex at the Twin City <br />Arsenal property. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Mayor Sather advised the adoption of the resolution by Arden Hills and <br />surrounding communities will provide the necessary support to begin negotiations <br />with the Arsenal representatives relative to use of land on the TCAAP property <br />for the athletic complex; he explained approval would not bind the City <br />financially. Sather stated after negotiations with the proper government <br />representatives, the proposal for acquisition of the property and financial <br />considerations would be brought before Council for review and approval. <br /> <br />Councilmember Malone expressed concern regarding the reference to cost sharing in <br />the last paragraph of the Resolution; he noted the fourth paragraph serves as <br />sufficient clarification of the Council intent to approve only the costs of plan <br />pr~paration for the proposed athletic COmplex. <br />. <br /> <br />Hansen moved, seconded by Malone, that <br />Resolution No. 89-13, Su ort for Athletic Com lex On Twin Cit <br />Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) <br /> <br />Council approve <br />Arsenal Pro ert <br /> <br />REPORT OF PUBLIC WORKS SUPERVISOR <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />SCHOOL ATTENDANCE; <br />RADDATZ & MCKINNEY <br /> <br />Council was referred to a memorandum from Public Works <br />Supervisor Raddatz dated 2-23-89, requesting Council <br />authorization and funds for Raddatz and McKinney to <br />attend seminars dealing with abandoned wells and wastewater operations. The fees <br />are $30.00 for a one-day seminar on March 22 and $60.00 for the two-day seminar <br />March 22-24, 1989. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hansen expressed concern that both supervisory personnel would be <br />absent on March 22. <br /> <br />Raddatz advised when he and McKinney are unavailable, Dan Winkel assumes <br />responsibility for the department. <br /> <br />Hansen moved, seconded by Malone, that Council approve <br />the funds and attendance of McKinney and Raddatz at the seminars on March 22 and <br />March 22-24, 1989, as requested. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) <br /> <br />REPORT OF CLERK ADMINISTRATOR <br /> <br />REQ. lIMC <br />CERTIF. FEE <br /> <br />Council was referred to a request from <br />dated 2-23-89, for the application fee <br />Certification. <br /> <br />Deputy Clerk Iago <br />for lIMC <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hansen questioned if the funds were budgeted. <br /> <br />Clerk Administrator Berger advised the certification fee was a budgeted item. <br /> <br />Malone moved, seconded by Hansen, that Council approve <br />the payment of the $65.00 non-refundable application fee for Deputy Clerk Iago <br />for Certification by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks. Motion <br />carried unanimously. (4-0) <br /> <br />1989 REFUSE <br />LICENSES <br /> <br />Council was referred to the memorandum from Berger dated <br />2-22-89; relative to the eleven 1989 garbage/refuse <br />collectors license applications. <br /> <br />. <br />
