<br />Minutes of the Arden Hills Regular Council Meeting, February 13, 1989 <br />Page 8 <br /> <br />SCHEDULE CLERK <br />ADMIN EVALUATION <br /> <br />Clerk Administrator Berger explained he forwarded samples <br />of administrative performance appraisals he had obtained <br />from leMA to Council for review and information; he <br />schedule a date and suggest a format for the evaluation <br /> <br />requested Council <br />process. <br /> <br />Council suggested scheduling evaluations for the Public Works Supervisor and Park ~ <br />Director; it was determined the evaluations could be done annual, preferably on <br />the anniversary of date of hire. <br /> <br />After discussion, Council determined the evaluation would be based on the Clerk <br />Administrator job description and high priority tasks as outlined in the <br />Comparable Worth Tasks Inventory. It was also suggested that during the <br />evaluation process annual goals be determined and performance standards set to <br />provide basis for the annual review. <br /> <br />Malone moved, seconded by Hansen, that the Clerk <br />Administrator be directed to draft a job description for Council review and that <br />Council schedule a work session prior on Monday, February 27, 1989, at 6:30 p.m., <br />to evaluate Clerk Administrator Berger. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) <br /> <br />DISC; TENTATIVE <br />AGENDA GOALS SESSION <br /> <br />Council was referred to the letter from Jim Brimeyer, <br />dated 2-1-89, outlining the tentative agenda for the <br />goals session to be held on March 10 & 11, 1989. <br /> <br />After discussion, Council concurred to direct the Clerk Administrator to contact <br />Brimeyer and request the focus of the session be more directed toward goal <br />setting issues. ~ <br /> <br />KEITHSON PROJECT; <br />ACCEPT/RELEASE <br />LETTER OF CREDIT <br /> <br />Council was referred to a memorandum from Engineer Barry <br />Peters, dated 10-6-88, regarding the completion of the <br />utility and street work on Keithson Addition. <br /> <br />Peters states in the letter that the utility and street work on the project has <br />been completed; C.W. Houle, contractor, completed the utility and street work in <br />August 1987 and punch list items were completed in October 1988. He recommended <br />Council acceptance of the project and release of the letter of credit submitted <br />by Marcel Eibensteiner, the developer. <br /> <br />Councilmember Malone stated he had questioned one of the residents on Keithson <br />Drive and was advised the wear course may not have been completed. <br /> <br />Deputy Clerk Iago explained she had contacted Engineer Peters and he stated the <br />project was complete; final wear course was on the street. Iago commented she <br />would contact Peters again to confirm completion of the project. <br /> <br />Malone moved, seconded by Hansen, that Council accept the <br />Keithson project, SEH File No. 87018, and release the letter of credit submitted <br />by Marcel Eibensteiner, pending confirmation from Engineer Barry Peters of ~ <br />project completion. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) <br /> <br />APPRV. RLS #88-15 <br />NORTHWOODS DRIVE <br /> <br />Administrator to sign <br /> <br />REQ. TO ATTEND <br />CONFERENCE, DEP. <br />CLERK IAGO <br /> <br />mileage as budgeted. <br /> <br />CLAIMS & PAYROLL <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br />RECYCLING <br /> <br />Malone, Jenny Salinka <br />containers. <br /> <br />Motion by Hansen, seconded by Malone, that Council <br />approve the Registered Land Survey No. 88-15, Northwoods, <br />as submitted and authorize the Mayor and Clerk <br />the RLS. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) <br /> <br />Malone moved, seconded by Mahowald, that Council approve <br />the request to attend the Minnesota Clerks and Finance <br />Officers Annual Conference submitted by Deputy Clerk Iago <br />and authorize payment of conference fees, lodging and <br />Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) <br /> <br />Malone moved, seconded by Hansen, that Council approve <br />Claims and Payroll as submitted. Motion carried. (4-0) <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Councilmember Malone extended thanks to Public Works <br />Supervisor Raddatz, Bud Steglich, Bob Hill, Kathleen <br />and all others for their help in distributing the recycling <br /> <br />~ <br />
