May 31. 1988 <br />Page 5 <br /> <br />COURT REPAIR (Cont'd) <br /> <br />Council concurred the monies would be utilized from the <br />General Fund and reimbursed to that fund upon payments <br />received from St. Peter Claver Church. <br /> <br />Councilmember Winiecki questioned if Peck intended to include the provision to <br />explore the costs for installation of a more permanent court surface at Arden <br />Manor Park. Peck advised it was his intent thet the court surface be repaired for <br />uee this summer. in conjunction with North 8nellina Park court construction. and <br />that information would be submitted for more permanent surfsce in ths future. <br /> <br />REQ. SATELLITE; <br />ARDEN MANOR PARK <br /> <br />Councilmember Hansen reported on a request to place <br />another satellite facility at Arden Manor Park. <br /> <br />Buckley advised hs was aware of an incident which occurred at Ardan Manor park <br />when it was used for baseball practise. He notified the culprits this type of <br />behavior would not be tolerated and was assured Such .incidents would not occur in <br />the future. <br /> <br />INGERSON PARK; <br />WEST ACCESS <br /> <br />Council was referred to Buckley's memorandum of 5-25-88. <br />relative to negotiating for purchase of land to use for <br />westerly access to Ingerson Park. <br /> <br />Buckley explained negotiations for a west access to the park were attempted in <br />1975, howaver. the Council at that time did not pursue the matter. <br /> <br />Caubcil concurred to authorize the Parks Director to proceed with negotiations <br />for the purchase of land to be used for a westerly access to Ingerson Park, as <br />outlined in his memorandum, and to report beck to Council at a future maeting. <br /> <br />Councilmember Winiecki suggested Buckley provide an overhead diagrsm of the area. <br />for Council review. when this matter returns for considerstion. <br /> <br />DISC. j LEASE TCMP <br />PROPERTY FOR PARK <br /> <br />The Parke Director reported on the tour of the Arsenal <br />and that there might be 25-acres of land on the TCMP <br />property availabls for long-term lease by Arden Hills. <br /> <br />Buckley stated he had expressed Arden Hills interest in possible lease of the <br />land for recreational facilities to Ted Shulte. Commander's Representative and <br />would recommend a letter from Council be forwarded to Shulte reiterating Arden <br />Hills interest in use of the lsnd. He advised a meeting'with Shulte had been set <br />for 6-27-88 to further discuss the matter. <br /> <br />Council concurred to have staff direct a letter to Ted Shulte confirming Arden <br />Hills interest in possible use of the land for recreational facilitiea. <br /> <br />LJVFD 1988 BUDGET <br /> <br />Peck moved. seconded by Winiecki. that Council approve <br />the 1988 Lake Johanna Volunteer Fire Department budget <br />aa submitted. Kotion carried unanimously. (4-0) <br /> <br />WVFD 1988 CONTRACT <br /> <br />Council was referred to the 1988 Fire Protection <br />Agreement submitted by LJVFD for Council approval. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hsnsen advised the language she had requested had been placed in <br />the agreement; she commented thet it would be neceseary for Council to ineert <br />specific dates for submission of reports and payment schedules. <br /> <br />After discussion. Council concurred that the insertion of proper dates could be <br />accomplished by the Clerk Administrator. after consultation with the Fire Chief. <br /> <br />Acting Clerk Administrator McNiesh reported the Fire Chief advised the agreement <br />submitted was to be signed by both Arden Hills and North Oaks. She noted the <br />contracts are the same for both cities. however. the budgets are different. <br />. . <br /> <br />McNiesh stated if Council preferred separate contracts for signature. the draft <br />would have to be revised. <br /> <br />McNiesh noted that page 6. item (e), spells out payment dates for the budget and <br />she would consult with the Fire Chief on dates for submission of reports. <br />
