Councilmember Winiecki questioned if Peck intended to include the provision to explore the costs for installation of a more permanent court surface at Arden Manor Park. Peck advised it was his intent thet the court surface be repaired for uee this summer. in conjunction with North 8nellina Park court construction. and that information would be submitted for more permanent surfsce in ths future. REQ. SATELLITE; ARDEN MANOR PARK Councilmember Hansen reported on a request to place another satellite facility at Arden Manor Park. Buckley advised hs was aware of an incident which occurred at Ardan Manor park when it was used for baseball practise. He notified the culprits this type of behavior would not be tolerated and was assured Such .incidents would not occur in the future. INGERSON PARK; WEST ACCESS Council was referred to Buckley's memorandum of 5-25-88. relative to negotiating for purchase of land to use for westerly access to Ingerson Park. Buckley explained negotiations for a west access to the park were attempted in 1975, howaver. the Council at that time did not pursue the matter. Caubcil concurred to authorize the Parks Director to proceed with negotiations for the purchase of land to be used for a westerly access to Ingerson Park, as outlined in his memorandum, and to report beck to Council at a future maeting. Councilmember Winiecki suggested Buckley provide an overhead diagrsm of the area. for Council review. when this matter returns for considerstion. DISC. j LEASE TCMP PROPERTY FOR PARK The Parke Director reported on the tour of the Arsenal and that there might be 25-acres of land on the TCMP property availabls for long-term lease by Arden Hills. Buckley stated he had expressed Arden Hills interest in possible lease of the land for recreational facilities to Ted Shulte. Commander's Representative and would recommend a letter from Council be forwarded to Shulte reiterating Arden Hills interest in use of the lsnd. He advised a meeting'with Shulte had been set for 6-27-88 to further discuss the matter. Council concurred to have staff direct a letter to Ted Shulte confirming Arden Hills interest in possible use of the land for recreational facilitiea. LJVFD 1988 BUDGET Peck moved. seconded by Winiecki. that Council approve the 1988 Lake Johanna Volunteer Fire Department budget aa submitted. Kotion carried unanimously. (4-0) WVFD 1988 CONTRACT Council was referred to the 1988 Fire Protection Agreement submitted by LJVFD for Council approval. Councilmember Hsnsen advised the language she had requested had been placed in the agreement; she commented thet it would be neceseary for Council to ineert specific dates for submission of reports and payment schedules. After discussion. Council concurred that the insertion of proper dates could be accomplished by the Clerk Administrator. after consultation with the Fire Chief. Acting Clerk Administrator McNiesh reported the Fire Chief advised the agreement submitted was to be signed by both Arden Hills and North Oaks. She noted the contracts are the same for both cities. however. the budgets are different. . . McNiesh stated if Council preferred separate contracts for signature. the draft would have to be revised. McNiesh noted that page 6. item (e), spells out payment dates for the budget and she would consult with the Fire Chief on dates for submission of reports.
