RESOLUTION NO. 87-1, <br /> RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING WEEK OF MARCH 7-14, 1987 <br /> GIRL SCOUT WEEK <br /> WHEREAS, the 75th anniversary of Girl Scouting is a celebration <br /> of the vitality of the world's largest vo!untary organization for girls; <br /> andt <br /> WHEREAS, it is the celebration of a 75-year commitment to meeting <br /> the changing needs of girls; and, <br /> WHEREAS, it is a ce!ebration of a spirit of adventure that <br /> challenges Girl Scouts to learn new skills, to try new activities, and to <br /> explore other cultures; and, <br /> WHEREAS, it is a celebration of Gir! Scouts' gifts of service and <br /> good citizenship to our communities and neighborhoods; and, <br /> WHEREAS, it is a celebration of a bright future for young women <br /> and for Girl Scouting; and, <br /> . WHEREAS, our community has been the direct beneficiary of this <br /> 75-year tradition; and, <br /> . WHEREAS, the 30,000 girl members in the Girl Scout Council of St. <br /> Croix Valley and the Greater Minneapolis Girl Scout Council will be the <br /> leaders of our future; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Arden Hills Council <br /> declares March 7 - 14, 1987, as Girl Scout Week in Arden Hills, and <br /> supports the Girl Scouts in their celebration. <br /> Adopted by the Arden Hills Counci! this 23rd day of February, <br /> 1987. <br /> Robert L.
