He advised that <br /> an offer had been presented of 7.125% for park <br /> dedication fee for the development. <br /> Counci! determined that the offer was not in compliance with the percentage <br /> requirements in Section 22.9 (b)(!) of the Arden Hills Code. <br /> MCFOA CONFERENCE; Council was referred to memorandum from Deputy Clerk <br /> DEPUTY CLERK (2-17-87) requesting attendance at the Minnesota Clerks <br /> and Finance Officers Annual Conference scheduled for <br /> March 17-20. 1987, at the Sheraton Park Place in Minneapolis. <br /> Hansen moved, seconded by Peck, that Council approve <br /> the attendance of the Deputy C!erk at the MCFOA Annua! Conference, and <br /> furthermore, approve payment of the $95.00 registration fee and mileage at $.20 <br /> per mile from the Village Hall to the Conference location. Motion carried <br /> unanimously. (4-0) <br /> PCA & HEALTH Public Works Supervisor reviewed his memorandum of . <br /> DEPT. SEMINARS 2-20-87, reI Water/Wastewater Technology training for <br /> Mike McKinney and himself. He noted that attendance at <br /> the seminar is required for State certification purposes. Raddatz further <br /> advised that both schools were included in the 1987 Budget; Water School <br /> registration fee is $51.00 and Wastewater Schoo! registration fee is $50.00. <br /> Hansen moved, seconded by Peck, that Council approve <br /> the attendance of Mike McKinney and Robert Raddatz at the requested <br /> water/wastewater schools, and furthermore. that Counci! approve the payment of <br /> the respective registration fees and mileage at $.20 per mile from the Village <br /> Hall to the school location. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) <br /> OTHER BUSINESS <br /> MPCA BURNING PERMIT; Councilman Sather advised that the MPCA held a hearing <br /> NEW BRIGHTON in the City of New Brighton, relative, to the Bell <br /> Lumber & Pole Company burning contaminated dirt. He <br /> advised Council that a permit had been approved to allow burning commencing <br /> August I, 1987 and continuing through August 3!, !988. Sather was concerned <br /> about the burning process; noting that the article stated visibility may be <br /> decreased from 5 to 25% depending on the type of substance being burned. He <br /> asked the Clerk Administrator to obtain a copy of the public hearing minutes <br /> from the City of New Brighton for Council review. <br /> DEER/VEHICLE Councilman Peck questioned if Arden Hills had received <br /> ACCIDENTS any report of deer/vehicle accidents as described in . <br /> the letter sent from the City of Vandais Heights. <br /> Clerk Administrator advised Council she had discussed the matter with Deputy <br /> Herbst and he reported we had not experienced any problems of this type. <br /> Counci! instructed Morrison to advise Vandais Heights we are not experiencing <br /> this problem and thank them for alerting us to the situation. <br /> OSHA INSPECTION; Public Works Supervisor reported to Council that Don <br /> DONALD ZEllM Zehm, member of the PS/W Committee and retired OSHA <br /> Inspector, has volunteered to conduct an "informal" <br /> inspection of the Village owned faci!ities and give us a detailed report of <br /> what would be needed to meet OSHA standards.
