The Arden Hills representative to the Metropo!itan <br /> Council be invited to appear at a Council meeting to <br /> discuss the Met Council's role. <br /> 2. Council consider attending the April 22nd RCLLG meeting to be held at the <br /> Newport Recycling Facility; some PS/W Committee members may also attend. <br /> 3. The Island Lake Site approval will be sent to Senate Committee next week. <br /> 4. A meeting will be held in Shoreview to discuss the long range plan for <br /> Highway 96; suggested Parks Committee should be advised of the meeting date <br /> (March 5 at 7:30 p.m.). <br /> GASOLINE FOR Mayor Woodburn instructed the Clerk Administrator and <br /> POLICE VEHICLES Public Works Supervisor to research the possibility of <br /> the Ramsey County police vehicles purchasing gasoline <br /> from the Village. He also requested information relative to possible reduction <br /> in mileage fees to Ramsey County, due to decreased costs in gaso!ine. <br /> EDGEWATER ESTATES The Clerk Administrator advised the Council an <br /> Addendum to the Development Agreement for Edgewater <br /> Estates had been referred to the Village Attorney for <br /> his review and approval. <br /> APPROVE LICENSE; Hansen moved, seconded by Sather, that Council approve <br /> CONTROL DATA the application for a restaurant license for Control <br /> Data Corporation. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) <br /> . REPORT OF CLERK ADMINISTRATOR <br /> RES. NO. 87-14; Council was referred to memorandum from Clerk <br /> RECORDS RETENTION Administrator (2-20-87), reI Records Retention <br /> Schedule. She noted the schedule was obtained from the <br /> League of Minnesota Cities, is used by many municipalities and has been <br /> approved by the Minnesota Historical Society. Morrison noted that culling the <br /> Village files, after adoption of the reso!ution, wou!d be a lengthy process and <br /> suggested microfilming be considered after the process is completed. <br /> Council discussed the possibility of citizen participation in the culling <br /> process; it was determined that staff would more readily recognize documents <br /> that should be preserved or destroyed. Also discussed was the retention period <br /> for tape recordings on Council meetings. It Was determined that the tape <br /> recordings were used primarily by the secretary, for composing Council minutes, <br /> and it was not necessary to retain the tapes. <br /> Councilman Peck suggested the Attorney review and approve the retention <br /> schedule. <br /> Moved by Hansen, seconded by Sather, that Council adopt <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 87-14, ADOPTING A RECORDS RETENTION SCHEDULE, with the following <br /> conditions; 1) Tape recordings of Council meetings be erased after Council <br /> approval of the minutes of the meeting, and 2) Review and approval of the <br /> retention schedule being received from the Village Attorney. Motion carried <br /> . unanimously. (4-0) <br /> CLAIMS & PAYROLL Hansen moved, seconded by Peck, that Council approve <br /> Claims and Payroll as submitted. Motion carried <br /> unanimously.
