Motion carried unanimously.
Review of 1986 Park Improvements
Buckley reported that all planned improvements and additions were completed in
1986, with three exceptions. The crew did not have time to do the color
coating of the hard surface area at Sampson Park (the play structure was
completed, however) . The backstop that had been budgeted for installation at
. Arden Oaks was not purchased; it seemed wiser to allow the grass one more year
to mature before installing it. TWo picnic tables scheduled for Hazelnut Park
were not purchased; this purchase is proposed for 1987 also. These projects
are scheduled in "1987 Park Development Guidelines".
1987 Park Development Guidelines
The long range guidelines for park development, (which plans park improvements
and goals over a ten year period) developed in February, 1985, were used in
~reparing this proposal for 1987 park improvements. Committee concurred that
this plan should be updated this year, to cover the coming ten year period. A
subcommittee will be organized to do this.
1987 Park Development Guidelines
Hazelnut $5,750
This sum will purchase two picnic tables and a grill, to be
located near the new shelter. Grading of the front area (from
the edge of the parking lot up to the play structure) to provide
a more attractive entrance to the park is planned ($5,000).
