He advised <br />an offer had been presented of 7.125% for park <br />development. <br /> <br />that <br /> <br />dedication fee for the <br /> <br />Council determined that the offer was not in compliance with the percentage <br />requirements in Section 22.9 (b)(l) of the Arden Hills Code. <br /> <br />MCFOA CONFERENCE; <br />DEPUTY CLERK <br /> <br />Council was referred to memorandum from Deputy Clerk <br />(2-17-87) requesting attendance at the Minnesota Clerks <br />and Finance Officers Annual Conference scheduled for <br />the Sheraton Park Place in Minneapolis. <br /> <br />March 17-20, 1987, at <br /> <br />Hansen moved, seconded by Peck, that Council approve <br />the attendance of the Deputy Clerk at the MCFOA Annual Conference, and <br />furthermore, approve payment of the $95.00 registration fee and mileage at $.20 <br />per mile from the Village Hall to the Conference location. Motion carried <br />unanimously. (4-0) <br /> <br />PCA & HEALTH <br />DEPT. SEMINARS <br /> <br />Public Works Supervisor reviewed his memorandum of <br />2-20-87, reo Water/Wastewater Technology training for <br />Mike McKinney and himself. He noted that attendance at <br />the seminar is required for State certification purposes. Raddatz further <br />advised that both schools were included in the 1987 Budget; Water School <br />registration fee is $51.00 and Wastewater School registration fee is $50.00. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Hansen moved, seconded by Peck, that Council approve <br />the attendance of Mike McKinney and Robert Raddatz at the requested <br />water/wastewater schools, and furthermore, that Council approve the payment of <br />the respective registration fees and mileage at $.20 per mile from the Village <br />Hall to the school location. Motion carried unanimously. (4-0) <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br />MPCA BURNING PERMIT; Councilman Sather advised that the MPCA held a hearing <br />NEW BRIGHTON in the City of New Brighton, relative to the Bell <br />Lumber & Pole Company burning contaminated dirt. He <br />advised Council that a permit had been approved to allow burning commencing <br />August I, 1987 and continuing through August 31, 1988. Sather was concerned <br />about the burning process; noting that the article stated visibility may be <br />decreased from 5 to 25% depending on the type of substance being burned. He <br />asked the Clerk Administrator to obtain a copy of the public hearing minutes . <br />from the City of New Brighton for Council review. <br /> <br />DEER/VEHICLE <br />ACCIDENTS <br /> <br />Councilman Peck questioned if Arden Hills had received <br />any report of deer/vehicle accidents as described in <br />the letter sent from the City of Vandais Heights. <br /> <br />Clerk Administrator advised Council she had discussed the matter with Deputy <br />Herbst and he reported we had not experienced any problems of this type. <br /> <br />Council instructed Morrison to advise Vandais Heights we are not experiencing <br />this problem and thank them for alerting us to the situation. <br /> <br />OSHA INSPECTION; <br />DONALD ZEHM <br /> <br />Public Works Supervisor reported to Council that Don <br />Zehm, member of the PS/W Committee and retired OSHA <br />Inspector, has volunteered to conduct an "informal" <br />inspection of the Village owned facilities and give us a detailed report of <br />what would be needed to meet OSHA standards. He advised a report will be <br />submitted to Council has soon as the inspection is completed. <br /> <br />RCLLG REPORT <br /> <br />Councilmember Hansen reported on the RCLLG meeting; <br />the following comments were noted: <br /> <br />. <br />
