Minutes 01 February 14, 1966 continued <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Pro~osed ZonlnQ Ordinance <br /> <br />Attorney Courtney Informed the Council that he has not completed his <br />study of the proposed zoning ordinance. In reply to an Inquiry from <br />Mrs. Tlssol, Attorney Courtney Informed the Council that the proposed <br />ordinance does require considerable re-draftlng, but he expects to have <br />a first draft ready for the next Coun~11 Meeting. <br /> <br />Uniform Building Code <br /> <br />Attorney Courtney submitted copies of the second rough draft of the <br />Uniform BuildIng Code to the Council for their consideration and <br />recommended that the Council study the charges and the Village Inspec- <br />tors again check the proposed fees. Clerk requested to consult with <br />the Inspectors. He stated that he believes some Information near the <br />end of the Code does not apply to Arden Hills, such as private drive- <br />way construction. <br /> <br />St. Anthonv Drainage Matter <br /> <br />Attorney Courtney informed the Council that he will keep them posted <br />on this matter. <br /> <br />Schmelzer Drainage Matter <br /> <br />Trustee Crepeau Informed the Council that Ronald Schmelzer reported ~'hat <br />the sewage has backed up Into the basement of his home, 1500 Arden Place, <br />for the third time. Mr. Schmel%er Informed Trustee Crepeau that he <br />had previously reported this problem to Fred Nixon and Inquired about <br />compensation for damage from the Village, possibly $2,000.00. <br /> <br />Engineer Lund $tated that he and Mr. Nixon had checked this problem <br />and determined that the rapid tha~ caused more water through the sys- <br />tem than the pumps could handle. Engineer Lund suggested to Mr. <br />Schmelzer that he have a gate valve Installed In his line to eliminate <br />this problem In the future. Matter referred to Engineer Lund to' check <br />and report to Attorney Courtney for his opinion. <br /> <br />Perry Prooerty <br /> <br />Attorney Courtney Informed the Council that he has obtained from <br />Trustee BJorndahl a survey of the Perry property, which the Village <br />Is ~onsiderlng purchasing for recreatlona~ purposes, and wIll work on <br />an option proposal. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ENGINEER DONALD LUND <br /> <br />~ Rldqew9.~d ~'SanltarY Sewer <br /> <br />vi EngIneer Luna report$d that he has the names of the owners of lots 2, <br />3, 4, 5 and 6, block 5, Arden Hills who will have a problom connecting <br />to the Village sewer system unless the problem Is solved at this time. <br />He stated that he will meet with these people and report to the Council~ <br /> <br />~ Red Fox Imorovement <br /> <br />The Council looked over a map submitted by Engineer Lund showing the <br />Red Fox Road proposed improvement. Only one map was available; there- <br />fore It was referred to the Finance Committee and Public Works Committee <br />for study and the matter tabled pending their recommendations. <br /> <br />PlannIng Commission ReDort <br /> <br />Mrs. Tissol reported for the Planning 'Commission and reminded the <br />Council of the public meeting to be held at the Village Hall on Feb- <br />ruary 24 regarding various types of dwellings In Arden Hills. ThIs <br />meeting to be sponsored by the Planning Commission with the League of <br />Women Voters making arrangements and handling publicity. <br /> <br />-3- <br />
