In discussion, it was determined that Council had agreed to hold a meeting with property owners in this area to identify and discuss the problems the city staff faces when residents place landscaping, fencing or structures on utility easements. Council =n=ed this approach to resolution of easement encroachments will serve as the "pilot program" to resolve easement problems throughout the city. Council =n=ed to hold a meeting with residents along Katie Lane and stave Avenue, regarding easement encroachments and methods for resolving the problem, on Thursday, May 31, at 7:00 p.m., at the LJVFD Fire station #1, and directed staff to send a notice of the meeting on May 10 to all affected residents. Council directed Fire Chief Winkel to check on the availability of the Fire station for the meeting and requested staff clearly mark the easements in this area several days prior to the meeting for residents to review the extent of the problem. REFORI'; REl3IONAL Councilmernber Malone reported on the Regional Railroad RAILROAD MEETING Authority meeting. FlJJWER :rowER Park Director Buckley reported the excellent response CAMPAIGN received from the businesses along County Road E in ~ regards to the proposed "Flaver Power" campaign. Buckley distributed a flyer describing the program and explained temporary part-time personnel will be needed to install the flaver beds. BANNER SIGNS Councilmernber Malone questioned the banner signs at several locations in the city. The Clerk Administrator advised the Building Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer is reviewing all the signs to determine if permits have been issued. UPDATE; ODOR Clerk Administrator Berger reported on his discussions srATEMENT, NEW with Kevin Locke regarding the recent mor bill received BRIGHTON fram the City of New Brighton. Berger advised Locke that the City preferred itemized statements sent fram the City of New Brighton, rather than from New Brighton's Attorney.
