CALL 'TO ORDER Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Sather <br /> called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> ROLL CALL The roll being called the following members were present: <br /> Mayor Thomas Sather, Council1nembers Paul Malone, JoAnn <br /> Growe and Thomas Mahowald. CounciJ1nernber Nancy Hansen arrived at 7:35 p.m. Also <br /> present: Engineer Mark Graham, AttOTI1ey Jerry Filla, Public Works SUpervisor Dan <br /> Winkel, Clerk Administrator Gary Berger and Deputy Clerk Catherine Iago. <br /> AmP]' REVISED Council was referred to a memorandum from the Clerk <br /> AGENDA Administrator dated 8-27-90, regarding two additional <br /> agenda items: <br /> 1. Item 5(b): Letter from Rudolph Vierath on Vehicle Parking on Harriet Avenue. <br /> 2. Item 6(a): Letter from Charles Roach regarding assessment on Oak Avenue <br /> Improvement. <br /> Mahowald moved, seconded by Malone, to adopt the Revised <br /> Agenda for the 8-27-90 Council Meeting, with the two additional items outlined in <br /> the Clerk Administrator's memoranch.nn dated 8-27-90. Motion ca=ied unanlinously. <br /> (4-0) <br /> APPROVE Growe moved, seconded by Mahowald, to approve the August <br /> MINUI'ES 13 Council Minutes as subnitted. Motion ca=ied <br /> unanlinousl y . (5-0) <br />. CONSENT AttoTI1ey Filla advised that Item 4 (d), Adoption of <br /> CALENDAR ordinance No. 269, tmder the Consent Calendar be amended <br /> to refer to Sections 2.90 through 2.93, rather than <br /> Sections 4-1 through 4-4 in the title and text of the document. <br /> Malone moved, seconded by Growe, to adopt the Consent <br /> Calendar, amending Item 4(d) to refer to Sections 2.90 through 2.93, rather than <br /> Sections 4-1 through 4-4 in the title and text of the document, and authorize <br /> execution of all necessary d=uments contained therein: <br /> a. Acknowledge Resignation from Finance eorrnnittee Member. <br /> b. Approve Clerk Administrator Attendance at ICMA National Conference. <br /> c. Approve Partial Payment to Allied Blacktop for sealcoat Project. <br /> d. Adopt Ordinance No. 269, Establishing Absentee Ballot Precinct at city Hall. <br /> e. Approve List of Claims and Payroll. <br /> Motion ca=ied unanlinously. (5-0) <br /> PUBLIC cn1MENTS <br /> INVITATION; Council was referred to a letter from Char Wil.nar, 1894 <br /> NEIGHBORHOOD mG. stowe Avenue, dated 8-22-90, extending an invitation to <br /> SIai'E AVENUE CoWlCiJ1nernbers to attend a neighborh<Xx:i meeting on <br /> Wednesday, August 29, at the Lake Johanna Fire station <br />. l=ated on New Brighton Road. <br /> Char Wil.nar explained the meeting is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., for the purpose of <br /> discussing residents' growing concerns regarding the condition of stowe Avenue <br /> and resolution to safety and deterior",tion problems. She noted Ramsey County <br /> officials have been invited to attend, since stowe Avenue is a County roadway. <br />
