Motion =ied unanimously. <br />(4-0) <br />SCHEDULE MIG; Council was referred to a report from the Clerk <br />CANVASS ELECI'ION Administrator dated 10-12-90, regarding scheduling a <br />RESULTS Council meeting to Canvass the November 6 Election <br /> Results . <br /> Malone moved, seconded by GrONe, to schedule a Special <br />Council Meeting on Thursday, November 8, 1990, at 4:30 p.m., for the purpose of <br />canvass of election results of the November 6 General Election. Motion =ied <br />unanimously. (4-0) <br />REQUFSl' 'ro LEASE Council was referred to a memorandum from Clerk <br />MAILING SYSTEM; Administrator Berger dated 10-29-90 and Deputy Clerk <br />PITNEY I3C:MES Iago dated 10-26-90, relative to lease of a new mailing <br /> system for the city. <br />Counci1member Malone questioned if the "postage-by-mail" feature will require a <br />designated telephone line and if the New Brighton Post Office will be capable of . <br />resetting the postage meter by telephone. <br />Deputy Clerk Iago advised she will =ntact the pitney Bowes representative <br />regarding both matters and report to Council. <br /> Malone moved, seconded by Hansen, to authorize the Clerk <br />Administrator to execute a 48-month lease agreement with Pitney Bowes for lease <br />of a Semi-Automatic Mailing System, Mo.:l.el #6260, as recormnended. Motion =ied <br />unanimously. (4-0) <br />COUNCIL <XM1ENTS <br />MISCELIANIDUS; Mayor Sather advised all present that New Brighton <br />CONGRATUIATIONS Bulletin Newspaper Reporter Larry (L.A.) Jones will no <br />'ro REPORI'ER L.A. longer be =vering Arden Hills Council Meetings; Larry <br />JONES, NEW has accepted a position with ABC Newspapers and will be <br />BRIGHTON BULLEI'IN reporting news for Anoka, Blaine, and Coon Rapids. <br />Jones stated he has reported news from Arden Hills for the past 12 years. <br />Counci1members extended thanks to Larry and best wishes for his =ntinued <br />success. <br />REPORr; CITIZEN Clerk Administrator Berger reported the citizen survey <br />SURVEY RESULTS results are being COllqJiled by Decision Resources and . <br /> questioned if Council preferred to discuss the <br />information at a worksession or regular meeting. <br />
