G. Rein property on Lexington Avenue~ south <br />of County Road E. The house which was on this property was destroyed <br />by fire by the Fire Dept. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ENGR. DONALD LUND <br /> <br />Neamy Drainage Matter <br />Engr. Lund reported that the ponding area on the Ne~my property, <br />3171 N. Lexingmn Avenue. is a pl'ivate matter and not a Village <br />responsibility. Mr. Lund informed the Courcil "bhat the sewer <br />construction across the Neamy property is not the cause of the <br />ponding, but believes the condition is due to the construction of <br />a home next door. BUilding Insp. Clay Kelley informed the COUncil <br />that drain tile had been installed by the owner of the new home <br />to carl'y water to Lake Josephine ~ perhaps tILls tile needs cleaningo <br /> <br />Clerk to so inform Mr. Neamy of the Engr.'s determination. <br /> <br />County ROad E2 Sewer Assessment <br />Clerk read a letter, dated June 7, 1905. from County Engineer Deane <br />Anklan stating a sewer assessment was reapportioned to the property <br />after the County aCQuired the l'ight~of=way for County Road E2. He <br />stated that he belives that since the sewer os of no benefit to the <br />County. the Village should make other ?rrangements for collecti@n o~ <br />'bhe remaining *,102.00 of the original :jj;120pOO assessed. Council <br />requested the Clerk to write to the County Engineer and inform hi~ <br />that the assessment is justified and, therefore. should be paid by <br />them. <br /> <br />Cumminp;s Lallie <br />Engr. Lund informed the Council th~t he had talked with Mr. ~icksono <br />Cummings Lane. who informed him that a 30 foot strip would be more <br />favorable than a cul de sac at the end of Cummings Lans. Mayor <br />Kennedy and Trustee Crepeau had also inspected the site and agreed. <br />Referred to Engr. Lund to obnain legal descriptions and ownership <br />l'eports on the property necessary to aoquire for construction of the <br />strip. <br /> <br />Playp;roUllld Drainage Matter <br />Engr. Lund. informed the COUncil of two solutions to the drainage <br />problem on the County Road F playground. He stated that a problem <br />exists beCause the property is quite level. ~ngr. Lund suggested <br />a 6 inch corrugated ditch or a series of covered graduated pipes to <br />channel the water to the County ditch. Mayor Kennedy and Trustee <br />Crepeau eliminated the open ditch aolutien because of the safety <br />factor, but referred the alternate method to the Engineer fol' further <br />study. =3= <br />
