Donald Lund informed the Council that two problems a~e causing the drainage situation at the playg~und at County Road F and Snelling Avenue c l} the infield needs regrading and Wilbur Liebenow has io= structed Ryan Landscaping Co. to regrade this area. 2} storm sewer water is not running as planned. Fred Nixon stated that there has been too much water run off for the small culvert to handle and there is not enough pitch to the County ditch. ~ngr. Lund agreed that the culvert is not adequate and that the low spots holding the water are on priVate property. Matter referred to Engineer for further study. Trustee Nethercut suggested that Bngr. Lund confer with the County to try to work out a solution at the same time as they are reconstructing the intersection of Snelling Avenue and County Road F. Cummings Lane Road Improvement ~ngr. Lund showed two sketches of possible turn a~unds to solve the traffic problem on Cummings Lane: l} a eul de sac designed according tc the Ordinance and using private property, and 2} a driveway 30 ft. wide by 50 ft. long using the available property. Acting Mayor Crepeau suggested that Engr. Lund stake out Plan No. 2 for visual study and confer with the property owners and also suggest Plan No.1 to them. Oak Avenue Road Problams Council authorized ~ngr. Lund to notify the sewer contractor to take dare of the street settlings on Oak Avenue within two weeks and any money due them to be withheld until the street is in satisfactory condition. The Council agreed with Trustee Lang1s suggsDtion that the Contr~ctor should place barricades with flashers at hazardous areas. Sewer Matter - Greforich Propert~ The Council reques eel the Ulerk 'Go inform John Gl:'egorich, 1609 Lalre Johanna Blvd., that as soon as the water level drops at Lake JOhanna, the sewer line will be conetructed across Johanna Blvd. to enable his house to be connected to the sanitary sewer system. N.S.P. Gas Installation The Council requested Engr. Lund to notify the N.S.P. Co. to clean the roads after completing the gas installation on Siama Court. REPORT OF TRUSTEE NETHJ!:RCUT Rezoning Petition Trustee Nethercut moved, seconded by Trustee Lang, that the rezoning petition requested by Continental 011 Co. to have property rezoned at 35W and Highway 96 from residential to eOllllllel'cial be ~;eferred to 'the Planning COllllllission; motion carried. District Planning Meeting Trustee ~ethercut reported that the first District Planning MeetingD which was held at the Village Hall in Arden HillsD was well attended and a second meeting has been soheduled far June 17 at the Arden Hills Village Hall. 701 Plan Trustee Nethercut informed the Council that he had conferred with Carl Dale on the double printing of the proposed zoning maps and stated that this could not be done under the 701 Plan; if the maps are not printed. the money could be used tor some other purpose. Acting Mayor CrepeaU suggested that the nimimum number of maps be ordered. Trustee Nethercut stated that the Planning Oommission would like to meet with the Council to stUdy the major items in Planning Report Noo 40 The Council agreed, subject to the apprOVal of Mayor KennedYe that a meeting be scheduled for Monday, June 21.
