He stated he will contact the Fire <br /> Marshall to discuss this matter am resolve it prior to the council <br /> meetirY:J . <br /> A resident voiced concern relative to sufficient space for the proposed <br /> fire access road aroum the entire l:uilding. 'lbe Architect explained <br /> there would be adjustments on the west am south sides an:i the slopes <br /> would be leveled out if the road is required. Mr. Bergly stated, at the <br /> most the roadway would be 10 feet wide am would be =vered by grass. <br /> He note::1 the road would be maintained during the winter nont:hs. <br /> 'Ihe resident referred to member Carlson' s original question on soil <br /> correction an:i also questioned if the water would run any faster into <br /> . the pond. 'Ihe Architect explained that there are no soil corrections <br /> needed an:i the runoff from the site will not be worse than current <br /> corxlitions . He advised he is not required by storm water regulations to <br /> iIrprove the runoff condition on this site, only to maintain it's <br /> existin1 corxlitions after construction of the l:uilding. <br /> Developer John Arkell spoke about the ptoposed senior housing project <br /> an:i highlighted the following items the developnent will provide: price <br /> of hames, on-site caretaker, meal program, van/taxi transportation, area <br /> hospital visits (Iilysicals, etc.), wellness ~'-'::ll.aI1l. an:i social events. <br /> vice C1lair winiecki asked if there were further comments from the floor, <br /> hearin1 none, she closed the p.1blic hearing at 8:20 plI. <br /> winiecki asked the Applicant if MOC b.ls service would be provided as <br /> well as sane type of shelter for residents while they waited for the <br /> bus. The Applicant stated that MOC in the past has been helpful in <br /> adding a location to their b.ls route. He advised he is not opposed to <br /> providing a shelter for residents an:i will contact MOC regarding the <br /> route an:i shelter. <br /> McGraw questioned if the Engineer reviewed the waterflow an:i if any new <br /> area would be considered for drainage, run-off an:i water a=nnulation. <br /> Bergly stated the engineer did look at all of the above mentioned items <br /> an:i recommends approval from the Rice Creek Watershed District as a <br /> . corrlition of recommended approval from camnission. <br /> winiecki questioned if each unit would be handicap adaptable. <br /> Applicant stated noIlllally all units are rented prior to construction <br /> canpletion. <br />
