Also present, Councilmember Dale Hicks, Planner John Bergly, City Administrator Dorothy Person, Recording Secretary Jackie Knowlton. APPROVE MXNUTES piotrowski moved, seconded by McGraw, to approve the April 7, 1993, Planning Minutes as submitted. All voted in favor. (5-0) . CASE #93-07 SXTE PLAN REVXEW FOR OUTSXDE FOOD AND BEVERAGE AREA AT THE RAMADA HOTEL, 1201 W. COUNTY ROAD E. . The Proposal is to allow an outdoor food and beverage serving area (patio) and to approve the site plan. The area in which the serving area is proposed is a roofed nine (9) foot indentation at the west end of the south facade of the Motel. At present, the area is surfaced with crushed rock which will be replaced by a concrete slab as suggested by the State Health Department for outside food serving areas. It will have a three (3) foot high wrought iron fence on the south side next to the drive and is proposed to accommodate 60 patrons. John Bergly noted the following: L The Zoning Ordinance does not specifically refer to this type of use. The proposed use presumably could be considered as an extension of the allowed'principal use (motel, restaurant, bar) or it could be considered as a seasonal accessory use. In either case, the outward appearance and operation of the facility will be changed only slightly. A site Plan Review is an appropriate course of action. 2. The patio will be 15 feet wide and 54 ft. long and will be surrounded on the west, north and east sides by existing walls of the building. The south side will be . open except for a 3 foot high wrought iron railing. A door will provide access between the existing bar/eating area and the patio.
