<br /> City of Arden Hills Chapter 2 Administration <br />. Sunday, when they have the effect of converting a Friday or Monday to a holiday, shall not <br /> be counted as a day of vacation. <br /> Subd. 3 Probationary Period. Newly appointed employees will accrue vacation during the <br /> probationary period and will be eligible to use accrued vacation after the completion of six <br /> (6) months [one hundred eighty (180) days] of continuous service. This provision does not <br /> apply to employees serving a probationary period following promotion. <br /> Subd. 4 Separation. An employee who leaves the municipal service after a minimum of one <br /> (1) complete year of continuous service sha1l be compensated for vacation accrued to the date <br />. of separation. <br /> Subd. 5 Vacation Accrual. <br /> A. Commencing with the date on which an employee first became employed by the City <br /> and continuing through the fifth year of their employment, a regular full time employee <br /> shall accrue paid vacation leave benefits at the rate of three and five-tenths (3.5) hours <br /> for each biweekly pay period they have been an employee of the City; provided, <br /> however, no probationary employee shall be entitled to avail themself of such benefits. <br /> Temporary employees are not eligible for vacation leave. <br />.
