<br /> ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL - OCTOBER 10. 1994 4 . <br /> Planning Coordinator Fritsinger indicated staff recommends that the City Council <br /> approve the contract extension through December 31, 1995 including the revision to the <br /> fee structure for 1994. <br /> MOTION: Hicks moved and Malone seconded a motion to approve the contract <br /> extension with Animal Control Services, Inc. through December 31, 1995, <br /> including revisions to the fee structure for 1994. The motion carried <br /> unanimously (4-0). <br /> LAWRENCE RUST NUISANCE ABATEMENT <br /> Planning Coordinator Fritsinger provided Council with photographs of the property <br /> located at 1863 Grant Road owned by Lawrence Rust. Planning Coordinator Fritsinger <br /> reviewed that during 1993 the City undertook several activities from a safety and welfare <br /> perspective at this property. At that time, the property owner was placed in a nursing <br /> home. <br /> Planning Coordinator Fritsinger indicated over the last several months, staff has - <br /> attempted to have the "junk" and debris located on this lot removed. Planning <br /> Coordinator Fritsinger indicated the County eventually undertook clean up of the <br /> property. <br /> Planning Coordinator Fritsinger indicated staff recommends Council to support the <br /> issuance of Notice to Abate, under Section 16-4 of the municipal code, and direct the <br /> City Attorney and Code Enforcement Officer to take what ever action is necessary to <br /> address this problem. <br /> MOTION: Malone moved and Hicks seconded a motion to direct the Administrator <br /> and Staff to issue Notice to Abate property located at 1863 Grant Road, <br /> recovering as much of the cost as possible by the sale of materials removed <br /> and certifying the balance in taxes against the property. The motion <br /> carried unanimously (4-0). <br /> METROPOLITAN INSPECTIONS FEE INCREASE - EFFECTIVE 1/1/95 <br /> Planning Coordinator Fritsinger briefly reviewed staff report referring to the proposal <br /> from Metropolitan Inspection Service, Inc.
