<br /> - -------- <br /> . <br /> . <br /> Planninll Minutes Palle 2 12/07/94 - <br /> Mr. Fritsinger indicated the proposed antenna would comply with the height requirements of our <br /> ordinance. <br /> Mr. Fritsinger noted the location of the satellite dish is proposed to be located near the center of <br /> the roof, on the one story McGuires building. <br /> Mr. Fritsinger indicated the ordinance does allow for two dish antennas in business and industrial <br /> districts. <br /> Mr. Fritsinger pointed out that the ordinance states that screening shall be provided so as to <br /> prevent direct view of the dish from any street or public or private property within 600 feet of <br /> the dish. Mr. Fritsinger noted only minimal screening is currently available on the building to <br /> screen the dish. <br /> Mr. Fritsinger reported the applicant has indicated as part of the renovation of the building to a <br /> Holiday Inn, an approximate ten foot parapet wall will be constructed around the perimeter of <br /> the building to screen all roof top mechanical equipment. This will not be undertaken until the <br /> Spring of 1995, <br /> Mr. Fritsinger indicated staff recommends approval of the amendment to Special Use Permit #89- , <br /> 19 to allow for the installation of a second satellite dish at 1201 West County Road E, subject to <br /> the following conditions: <br /> A. The satellite receiving antenna shall be located as near the center of the building <br /> as possible and as indicated in the Site Plan dated 11-22-94. <br /> B. The top most point of the antenna shall be no higher than eleven (11) feet above <br /> the level of the roof. <br /> C. One of the satellite receiving dishes located in the North side of the parking lot, <br /> South of the railroad tracks to be removed as indicated on the Site Plan dated 11- <br /> 22-94. This dish shall be removed no later than the date of installation of the new <br /> satellite dish. <br /> D. A wall or other mechanical equipment screening be constructed no )ater than July <br /> 15, 1995 which will screen all rooftop mechanical equipment, including the <br /> satellite dish, from view of any street or publici private property, This screening <br /> shall be approved by the Planning Commission as part of a site plan review <br /> process. <br /> Nelson inquired as to the necessity of two satellite dishes. The applicant indicated that the second .. <br /> dish would provide sports orientated programming for the lounge and restaurant area. <br /> ---------------- ------ <br />
