PUBLIC WORKS BUILDING LUNCHROOM <br /> THURSDAY, MARCH 16, 19954:30 PM <br />. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Councilmember Paul Malone called to order the <br />. Worksession hearing at 4:30PM. <br /> Present: Mayor Dennis Probst; Councilmembers Beverly Aplikowski, Dale Hicks, and Paul <br />. Malone. <br /> Also present were: City Administrator Brian Fritsinger, City Accountant Terrance Post, <br />. Cynthia Sivertson, Park and Recreation Director, and Shirley Evenson, Administrative <br /> Assistant. <br />.- ADOPT AGENDA <br />. MOTION: Malone moved and Hicks seconded a motion to adopt the agenda for the March <br /> 16,1995 Work Session hearing as presented. The motion carried unanimously <br /> (4-0). <br />. MEETING WITH NORTHWESTERN COLLEGE REPRESENTATIVES <br /> Donald E. Erickson, Ed. D., of Northwestern College spoke regarding the feasibility of an <br />. additional building on campus. The enrollment is increasing on a regular basis and Dr. <br /> Erickson indicated that he wished to make the City of Arden Hills aware of the college's <br /> future plans. There was discussion regarding the parking and security problems that may <br />. exist if this reaches fruition. Councilmember Malone indicated that a "special use" permit <br /> would be considered upon further discussion. <br />. DISCUSSION OF ROGER AIKEN DRAINAGE REOUEST <br /> City Administrator, Brian Fritsinger, indicated that because of the sub-division of that <br />. property in question and new construction of homes, the drainage in this area is causing <br /> flooding and other terrain problems for the residents. Re-grading and additional landscaping <br /> may be in order to prevent further erosion. The Councilmembers and staff agreed that there <br />. should be some final solution to this kind of problem, due to the fact that it occurs quite <br /> frequently. <br />.- Mayor Probst suggested that photos be taken of the construction during each project to make <br /> sure they are up to code and that engineering problems are kept at a minimum.
