I
I
I- 2
Chapter 2
Section 210.01 - Needs revision to current salary of$2900 and $3600.
, Section 220.03 - I believe the Council by Resolution made this an Advisory
Committee.
I Section 220.05 - New Chapter on Fire Department. Council should discuss the
I procedures included in this chapter and have it reviewed by Lake Johanna
for the appropriateness of the language.
I Section 230 -1 assume the Civil Defense Advisory Committe and/or Civil Defense
Agency is the Public Safety/Works Committee? Is this chapter a critical
element to the Code in 1995.
I Section 230.08 - Civil Defense Direction is the Public Works Superintendent?
I Section 240 - Needs Table of Contents ifit is to be adopted as a policy. This portion
of the code should be adopted by Resolution rather than Ordinance to provide
flexibility.
.- Section 240.06 - Delete age requirements due to State Law.
I Section 240.07 - Need to add a definition of sexual harrassment. (Also strengthen
policy).
I Section 240.08 - May consider additional definitions as follows: overtime,
compensatory time, exempt/non-exempt, posting, work day, work week,
I reclassification, comparable worth, certified bargaining unit, veteran, position
classification plan.
, Section 240.09 - These clearly place hiring responsibility with the City Council, not
the Administrator. Does the Council wish to amend this or change definition
of appointment?
I Section 240.10 - Subd 3. Does the Council still desire all recommendations be made
to Council for final action?
I Section 240.12 - Needs review in areas of overtime pay, workday, week, etc.........
I Section 240.16 - Council may wish to consider "personal" days rather than sick and
vacation?
,- Section 240.23 - Add FamilylMedical Leave from recent Federal laws.
,
