<br />I City of Arden Hills . Chapter 2 Administration <br />I. 240.21 Unpaid Leave of Absence. <br />I <br />I Subd. 1 Consideration. Upon consideration of a formal written request by an employee, <br />I leave of absence without pay may be granted at the discretion of the Clerk-Administrator with <br /> approval of the City Council based on consideration of the following factors: <br />I <br />I A. Municipal service needs; <br />I B. The employee's performance record and length of service; <br />I <br />I- C. The reason(s) for the request; <br />I D. Any other relevant information. <br />I <br /> Subd. 2 Length and Terms. If granted, unpaid leave of absence may not exceed a period <br />I of ninety (90) continuous calendar days. An extension beyond that period may be granted at <br />I the discretion of the Clerk-Administrator however, an unpaid leave of absence shall not <br />I exceed one (I) calendar year except when the employee is in the military service or has been <br /> disabled while performing job duties in the municipal service. Benefits, including vacation, <br />I holidays, sick leave or other forms of indirect compensation, shall not accrue during a period <br />I of unpaid leave of absence.
