Awarding the 1995 Storm Water Drainage Improvements. <br />City Engineer Stonehouse indicated the City received bids for the above project on October 26, I <br />1995. The low bidder, Jay Brothers, Inc., has worked with MSA on numerous projects, <br />including various subcontracting jobs in Arden Hills. Mr. Stonehouse recommends that they be I <br />awarded the contract for the Stormwater Drainage Improvements project <br />Mayor Probst expressed concern for the wide variety of bids. Mr. Stonehouse indicated he felt . <br />the bids varied because one of the bidders is not familiar with the type of work needed and the <br />other bidder was a subcontractor for work on County Road F and perhaps inflated the price <br />anticipating additional costs. I <br />MOTION: Aplikowski moved and Keirn seconded a motion to award the contract for the <br /> Stormwater Drainage Improvements project to Jay Brothers, lnc in the amount of I <br /> $54,466.00. The motion carried unanimously (4-0). <br />TCAAP Update I <br />City Administrator Fritsinger the TCAAP issue is basically in a "stand by" mode, since the last -. <br />Vento Committee meeting. <br />Mayor Probst indicated it appears that certain individuals have made the City out to be the "bad . <br />guy" in this issue. He noted the City has been very open during the entire process. <br />Mayor Probst noted at the last public meeting held regarding TCAAP he understands many I <br />people with opposing views did not comment for fear of being ridiculed. <br />Mayor Probst indicated discussions are not through yet and comments will continue to be taken. . <br />ADMINISTRATOR COMMENTS I <br />MEETING DATES <br />City Administrator Fritsinger inquired as to the scheduled Worksession for December 21,1995. I <br />Council concurred that the Worksession will stand as scheduled on December 21, 1995. <br />Mr. Fritsinger requested the December 25th meeting be rescheduled for December 26, 1995. I <br />MOTION: Malone moved and Aplikowski seconded a motion to approve setting a City I <br /> Council Meeting for December 26, 1995 at 7:30 p.m. The motion carried <br /> unanimously (4-0). e. <br /> . <br />
