Arden Hills Plannin2" Minutes Pa2"e 3 1/04/95 <br />I .- <br /> Mr. F ritsinger noted the applicant is proposing to plant four six foor high Colorado Spruce to <br />I screen the building from the south. Staff recommends that a least two more trees be planted in <br /> this area. . <br />I Mr. Fritsinger indicated staff recommends approval of the Site Plan and Special Use Permit #95-1 <br /> to allow for the construction of a equipment building and placement of antennas on the water <br /> tower located at 1230 Red Fox Road. <br />I Mr. F ritsinger indicated the following conditions: <br />I 1. The equipment building shall be screened as proposed in the Site Plan and <br /> additional trees be planted as amended on the plan by July 15, 1995. <br />I 2. The antennas, panels and mounting brackets shall all be painted to match the color <br /> of the tower. <br />I. \ - 3. No welding shall be done on the water tower tank or shell without the written <br />.- approv~l of the City. <br /> ".._, ::~ 4. The antennas shall not exceed a height of 16'6" above the top of the water tower. <br />. ,.~..~ 5. A lease agreement shall be maintained with the City of Arden Hills which details <br /> rent payments and other specific requirements of the City. If at any time the lease <br /> shall terminate, the Special Use Permit shall be reviewed and the City may impose <br />I other restrictions or conditions as warranted. <br />I Larson inquired if the installation would require lights. Mr. Fritsinger indicated it would nor. <br /> Rye inquired what would be the length of the lease. Mr. Fritsinger indicated it would be a five <br />I year renewable lease. <br /> Rye inquired if the cost of repairing or removing of equipment should the applicant not renew <br />. the lease is covered by the lease. Mr. Fritsinger indicated under the lease the applicant would be <br /> required to cover the cost of returning the tower to its original state. <br />I Larson inquired if once the panel antennas are in place, the top antennas would be removed. Mr. <br /> F ritsinger indicated this to be true. <br />II Mr. Bill Buell representing One Comm stepped forward to answer any questions the Commission <br /> mighr have. <br />I- <br />I <br /> --- <br />
