<br /> I <br /> . <br /> I. IF YOU ARE SELECTED FOR A RANDOM DRUG AND/OR ALCOHOL TEST <br /> I 1. Once your supervisor notifies you that your name has been selected for a random test, - <br /> you must proceed immediately to the collection facility. You may be provided with a City <br /> I vehicle, but under no circumstances will you be provided with a CMV. <br /> 2. The clinic does document your arrival time. They will know to expect you, and you will <br /> I need to present identification. <br /> A. Alcohol tests generally take about 15 minutes if they are negative. If your first <br /> I attempt is positive (0.02 or over), you will be asked to wait 15 minutes and then <br /> be tested again. The clinic representative will remain with you during that time. If <br /> I the second (confirmatory) test is negative, you will be expected to report back to <br /> your work site. Total time at the clinic may be up to an hour in this case. <br /> I B. Drug testing by itself also generally takes about 15 minutes. If you cannot provide <br /> an adequate urine specimen, you will be given no more than 24 ounces of fluid <br /> over a period of two hours. If you cannot provide a medical examination to <br /> I determine whether your inability to provide an adequate sample is genuine or <br /> constitutes a refusal to test. <br /> I~ C. If you are called for both drug and alcohol testing, you may be at the clinic for up <br /> to 2 hours. <br /> I 3. Following a random drug test, you are required to report back to your work site if there is <br /> y, hour or more left in your work shift (or if you have a City vehicle). Results are not <br /> available for drug testing for approximately 24 hours. The clinic also documents the time <br /> I you conclude all testing. <br /> I IF YOU HAVE TESTED POSITIVE FOR DRUGS OR ALCOHOL <br /> 1. The results of an alcohol test are immediate. If your confirmatory test is 0.02 or over, this <br /> is considered a positive test. If the test is 0.02 but less than 0.04, you will be allowed to ~ <br /> I <br /> leave the collection facility on your own and are required to report back to work (if you <br /> are not operating a CMV). You will be removed from safety-sensitive functions for 24 <br /> I hours. <br /> If the result is 0.04 or over, the. clinic cannot let you leave. You must contact someone to <br /> I pick you up and take you home. If you have driven a City vehicle to the clinic, you must <br /> contact your supervisor so arrangements can be made to return the vehicle. Your <br /> supervisor shall also be available to give you a ride home if you cannot make other <br /> I arrangements. <br /> I- 23 <br /> I <br /> ----- -- <br />
