(Note: <br />turning radius information provided as an attachment) <br /> <br />Response: Emergency service and refuse truck turning movements have been <br />added as Sheet C-A. <br /> <br />8. Signage <br />a. The Request for Flexibilities identifies flexibility to be requested as part of a sign standard <br />adjustment through the PUD process for deviation from Sign District 7, General Sign <br />Regulations. The Request for Flexibilities should provide Applicant statements that <br />address the Sign Standard Adjustment criteria (i.e. Subd. 1-3) as outlined in City Code <br />Section 1260.01. In order to approve any sign standard adjustment, the following criteria <br />of Subd. 1 or Subd. 2 shall be satisfied, and the necessary criteria of Subd. 3 shall be <br />satisfied: <br />• Subd. 1 There are site conditions which require a sign adjustment to allow the sign to <br />be reasonably visible from a street immediately adjacent to the site; <br />• Subd. 2 The sign adjustment will allow a sign of exceptional design or a style that <br />will enhance the area or that is more consistent with the architecture and design of the <br />site; <br />• Subd. 3 The sign adjustment will not result in a sign that is inconsistent with the <br />purpose of the zoning district in which the property is located or the current land use. <br />b. Identify if the wall or freestanding signage will be illuminated and if so, by what mode of <br />illumination. <br /> <br /> Response: <br /> <br />a. The existing freestanding pole sign will be reused in its existing location. It consists of <br />a two-sided Cabinet Sign mounted on a pole. It is internally lit with letters on <br />translucid faces. Detail 4/A5.1 has been updated to show the height & area of the <br />overall sign compared to the City’s height & area requirements. <br /> <br />b. There are two newly proposed illuminated wall signs shown - See Sheet A5.0 and <br />Details #5, and 6 on A5.1 for more information. <br />We are proposing (2) new illuminated wall signs on the new Entry Portal. One is on <br />the east face of the Entry Portal above the portal opening. This sign Reads, <br />“ELEGANT EVENT CENTER” and is flanked by (2) Star Symbols. The other sign is <br />on the south face of the Entry Portal above the portal opening. This sign consists of (1) <br />Star Symbol. <br />These signs will be Reverse Channel construction with individual letters and stars
