3i1ography Headquarters, 108th Tra40 40 ining Command, Initial Entry Trainingii, Charlotte , NC Lieutenant Colonel James M.01 Keefe Director of Force Management Lieutenant Colonel James O'Keefe became Management for the U.S. Army's 108th an organization of over 7,000 Soldiers, assignment clearly demonstrating trust in his organizations. the Director of Force Training Command, in January 2021. An ability to lead in large Prior to this assignment he served as the Force Management Branch Chief for Combined Security Transition Command -Afghanistan, Kabul. Using the skills he developed over his 24 years of service, he mentored and built a team consisting of 10 NATO countries and the host nation of Afghanistan. His team delivered solutions to extremely complex National level challenges. This remarkable accomplishment was recognized by the Coalition Commanding General and earning him a Defense Meritorious Service Medal, one of the highest medals awarded by NATO. He has deployed four previous times to Afghanistan and Iraq in various positions. Lieutenant Colonel O'Keefe has served in a variety of leadership positions at the tactical, operational, and strategic level. Other Active Duty and Army Reserve duty assignments include Headquarters Department of the Army as a resource documentation Branch Chief at the Pentagon in Washington DC. Operations Officer for the 7th Mission Support Command in Mainz Germany, and as the Commanding Officer o 143 Soldiers during Combat Operations with the rd Infantry Brigade throughout Iraq and Kuwait. Among Lieutenant Colonel O'Keefe's m0 ilitary awards are three Bronze Stars medals, two Defense Meritorious Service Medal, three Meritorious Service Medals, along with various service and campaign medals. Lieutenant Colonel O'Keefe graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Briar iff, Sioux City, .e received his KAasters Degree in minis tration from Central Michigan University, MT Pleasant, I. He also attended The Command and Generals Staff College, or Leavenworth, KS, the rmyf s premier program o military education for staff officers serving at higher General Officer Level Commands. Additionally he received a certificate of in Business nay ics from the University of South Carolina's Darla Moore School of Business . His other military schooling highlights include Infantry Officer Basic course; Maneuver Captains Officer Advanced Course; Force Management Officer Qualification Course; Army Strategic Analyst Course. Most'im ortantly the titles Lieutenant Colonel James O'Keefe is most humbled by are "Dad" to three young men, and Husband to an amazing wife.
