Paul for sewer connections <br />was approved by Council. Motion passed. <br />Upon motion by Kennedy, seconded by Crepeau, a hearing on the sewer project <br />was tentatively set for May 1, 1959 at 8:00 P.M. at the Lake Johanna <br />School, on condition the school is available that date. Motion passed. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br />Attorney's Report: Mr. Courtney announced that he cannot obta1n ~tle <br />insurance to the village hall from the st. Paul Asbtract and Title <br />Guarantee Co., therefore, he felt that a r~gistration action should be <br />brought to clear title before we purchase hall from Mounds View. He <br />stated that Mounds View requested that Arden Hills pay part of the cost of <br />such action. After Council discussion AShbach moved, Crepeau seconded <br />the motion that Arden Hills assume all the expense of the action over $300, <br />but in no event more than 25% of the total expenses. Motion pa ssed. <br />Council requested Attorney Courtney to negotiate with Mds. View to <br />commence such action, with our Attorney, Mr. Courtney to ha~le the action. <br /> <br />The proposed project of road stabilization of Connelly Avenue was discussed, <br />Attorney Courtney advised Council not to issue building permits before <br />roa~s ~re completed in the future. Attorney to obtain costs for proposed <br />proJect' . <br /> <br />Attorney Cou~ney advised Council that in his opinion, Fred Nixon could <br />operate as an independent contractor performing road work for the village. <br /> <br />A propesed plat, Round Lake Hills, was referred to the Public Welfar4 <br />Committee. <br /> <br />Public Works Committee: Mr. Kennedy reviewed the proposed program of gar- <br />bage incineration as discussed at Ramsey Co. 1fu.nic. Officials Assoc. <br /> <br />Mr. Kennedy reported he is checking into obtaining an easement for a <br />proposed turn around at Lake Lane. <br /> <br />Public Safety Report: Crepeau announc~ed that police Chief contacted the <br />party at Lexington Aveune and they are to remove junk from that location. <br /> <br />Crepeau announe4d that the sportsmens Club and neighbors cleaned up Lake <br />Johanna of the junk left on'lake by winter ice fishermen. <br /> <br />Finance Committee: StromqUist announed that the committee met March 26 <br />with all members present. Richard Shreyer and John Mazchesik spoke to <br />committee in regard to license requests. No recommendation was given <br />on the Mazchesik application because of pending action by Liquor Control <br />Commissioner of the off sale license request by Grace Stecker. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The application f~~Schreyer, Inc was <br />could be given. Committee requested <br />copy of the articles of Incorporation <br />checks or new checks. <br /> <br />incomplete so no recommendation <br />that Mr. Schreyer submit a certified <br />and a letter of transmittal on <br /> <br />Couacil referred an applica tion of Ed Waldock to the Fiqance Committee <br />and resubmitted the Schreyer applieation to the Finance VOmmittee. <br /> <br />The Finance Committee recommended that Council encourage Wm. McGuire <br />to build his proposed#250,OOO.OO establishment in Arden Hills, and <br />committee volunteered to work with Zoning Committee or Council to help <br />Mr. McGuire find proper location. <br />
