Mr. Crepeau recommended that the Council waiwe the rules. consider/the <br /> lst, 2nd, and third reading of the ordinance and moved that the Council <br /> pass the ordinance. seconded by DeLange. Motion carried. Publication <br /> can be delayed until October 8 as Roseville does not require that it be <br /> published before October 6. <br /> The sewer contract documents between Lametti & Sons. Inc. and the Village <br /> . of Arden Hills for Project Nos. 1 & 2. of Sanitary Swwer Improvement No.1. <br /> found to be in order by attorney, were presented to Council, approved by <br /> Council and properly signed by the ~yor and Deputy Clerk. <br /> The attorney presented the Village Council with a contract letter from <br /> Banister Engineering Company. dated September 14, 1959. Up to this time, <br /> there has been no formal agreement between them and the Council. Letter <br /> referred to Finance Committee. <br /> Counoil noted that staking and field inspections were not included except <br /> at an extra fee. Before a contract is entered into with Banister Eng. <br /> Co., the Council felt that the matter should be investigated thoroughly. <br /> The attorney stated that the property damage provision in the insurance <br /> seotion of the building oode definitely referred to $25.000.00 for eaoh <br /> aooident and recommended that the Clerk's office rejeot all certifioates <br /> of insuranoe that do not oomply with this provision. <br /> . PUBLIC WELFARE: Kennedy reported that he had attended a Rural Munioipal- <br /> ities meeting on county planning. He felt that the purpose of the group <br /> was to get a degree of planning for all of Ramsey County. The group would <br /> like a representative from each village to attend meetings and help make <br /> up an overall map of existing zoning and bring back suggestions to loeal <br /> village. It is aotually reaetiv~ting the Ramsey County Planning Commission <br /> that held its last meeting in 1952. <br /> DeLange moved that the mayor appoint a representative to attend these <br /> meetings. Mr. Crepeau seconded motion. Motion carried. <br /> The incinerator proposition was also revived at this meeting. Warren <br /> Brennan would like a representative from each village to attend a meeting <br /> to keep in touoh and gather facts. Mae Couna'l suggested that the group <br /> determine whether there is a problem before trying to solve it. Mr. <br /> Kennedy was appointed to attend these meetings. The Clerk is to inform <br /> Mr. Brannan. <br /> . Mr. Ashbach was unable to attend the Governor1s Conference on Water Pollu- <br /> tion but sent two representatives. Dr. Sekhon. Health Officer. and a <br /> representative from Banister E~gineering. The repor t wa s made. Dr. Sekhon <br /> felt that water pollution was no problem in the Village area. <br /> The Counoil reoommended that there be spot eheoking by individuals if <br /> they had a problem. No official action at this time. <br /> . <br />
