<br /> ^ <br /> . . <br /> .- <br /> . <br /> Pag'/j Two Regular Council Meeting Nov. 9. 1904 <br /> Council consider asking hamsey County to also acquil'e County Road D <br /> (Lakeview Avenue), since half of the existing road will be included <br /> in the acquisition and it would be feasible for the County to have <br /> contro~ of the entire road for policing and maintenance purposes. <br /> In reply to an inquiry from Mrs. narmon, Mr. bnyker stated that the <br /> widening of County Road D would be from the south side. <br /> Matter referred to the Clerk to send a letter to the involved property <br /> owners and/or residents informing them of the proposal and also to <br /> place the matter on the agenda for the next Council meeting. <br /> . Mr. Snyker stated that both he and t~. Walter Bremer will be available <br /> to answer any inquiries concerning this matter. <br /> County Road F and Snelling Avenue <br /> In reply to an inquiry from Trustee Nethercut, Mr. Snyker informed <br /> the Council that present plans do not include an island at this inter- <br /> section; he does not believe there is sufficient traffic at this time <br /> to justify an island. <br /> REPORT OF ATTY. COURTNEY <br /> Condemnation Matters <br /> Atty. Courtney reported that he had sent a letter to Dr. Farkas, <br /> Village Health Officer, answering his inquiries and included the <br /> procedure of condemnation under the State Statutes. <br /> Atty. Courtney suggested that letter be sent from Dr. Farkas to the <br /> owners of the three properties designating a time limit for cleaning <br /> up the premises before proceeding according to the Statutes. <br /> The Council authorized the Atty. to assist Dr. Farkas with any legal <br /> assistance he might need. <br /> Oak Avenue Improvement ~ Ashbach Vacation <br /> Trustee Nethercut moved that the Atty. be authorized to contact the <br /> survevor to obtain the legal description of the easement from Robert <br /> Asnbach before proceeding with another survey; seconded by Clerk <br /> Lorraine Stromquist; motion carried. <br /> Reiling Easement <br /> Trustee Crepeau moved the adoption of a resolution, as per attached. <br /> authorizing the Mayor and Clerk to sign a modification of an easement <br /> from Mr. Reiling; the previous easement contained an incorrect legal <br /> description; Banister Engineering Co. to submit the proper legal des~ <br /> cription to Atty. Courtney; seconded by Trustee Nethercut; motion <br /> carried. <br /> Butane Tank Matter <br /> Atty. Courtney informed the Council that Judge Fleming. White Bear. <br /> has not made a decision in the Wilsey Case involving the placement <br /> of a butane tank. <br /> . Drive-In bstablishments <br /> The matter of permitting drive-in restaurants in the Village was dis- <br /> cussed, and the Council felt that publiC hearings should probably <br /> be held before approval is given for such an establishment for public <br /> welfare reasons. Matter referred to Atty. Courtney for the study <br /> and drafting of an amendment to the Ordinance Which would provide for <br /> such a hear ing. Atty. Courtney informed the Council that a publiC <br /> hearing could be held without an amendment, but would proceed as the <br /> Coundil desires. <br /> Clerk request to so inform Mr. Anderson, who is considering the <br /> construction of such an establishment and suggest that he not exencise <br /> his option on the property until a determination is made. <br /> Village Owned Lot 19 <br /> Clerk Lorraine Stromquist informed the Council that Mrs. Thompson <br /> callEld and inquired as to the status of the sale of Village owned <br /> _2_ .~~._~_.._.. --_._-~. <br />
