<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />REPORT OF AD~INISTRATIVE CLERK LORRAINE STROMQUIST <br /> <br />g~Lat~LL Area in New Brighton <br />Clerk Lorraine Stromquist reported that Manager Schaefer of New <br />Brighton clllled to inform her that there will probllbly be no early <br />solution to the cleaning up of the Gladltsch property and the proper1"y <br />to the north of this site, but he will continue to pursue the ma1"ter. <br />He doubted If the rats were coming from this arell as there is not <br />food eVllilable for them there. Council requested CI.rk 1"0 request <br />New Brighton to have their Helllth Officer check the area. <br /> <br />Sewer Connections <br />Clerk Lorraine Stromquls1" referred to a letter, dated September 7, <br />1967, from James Lombard, 1600 Oak Avenue. (copIes of this had been <br />distributed to the Council.) Mr. Lombllrd requested that his resi- <br />dence end also the John Bachmlln residence, 1608 Oak Avenue, be granted <br />a two-year extension of 1"ime 1"0 hook up 1"0 the sewer system. He <br />explained that each of them had installed more than adequate systems, <br />anticIpating that It would be some time before service would be avail- <br />able to them. Trustee Crepeau expressed his thought that these homes <br />are possibly draining In1"o the Johanna Gralnage area. Trustees <br />Crepeau and Dlmen ~elieve that the home at 343; SI&ffiS Court, which <br />had been granted an extension of time to connect is now connected. <br />Referred to Clerk Lorraine Stromquist to check on this and also <br />list others who have been granted extentions. <br /> <br />Action was postponed on the Lombard-Bachman pending the Clerk's <br />report on the existing extensions. <br /> <br />Fiscal AQent Fees <br />Clerk Lorraine Stromquist presented a letter, dated August 24, 1967, <br />from Peter Popovich of Peterson and Popovich regarding fiscal agent <br />fees connected with the water improvement bond progrllm. The fee would <br />be on the same basis as previously charged for similar services In <br />connection with bond issues or assessment proceedings. <br /> <br />Trustee Crepeau moved, seconded by Trustee Dlmen, thllt the proposal <br />be accepted In connection with the pending water Improvemen1"; mo1"ion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Varlllnce Request - Placement of Trailer <br />Trustee Olmen moved approval of granting the Jos. Callahans, 1895 <br />Jerrold Avenue, permission to pllrk a 19 foot trailer, d~lng the <br />winter months, In their side yard Instead of the required back yard <br />lls,thls site woulG be less obvious; motion carried. <br /> <br />Request for Water <br />Mrs. Paul, 2009 West County Road D, objects to paying Rosevllle the <br />entire llssessment 111' one time as required b, Rosevllle; she feels <br />Arden Hil Is Is now seriously considering the llvallablllty of water <br />and these residents will have the option of having the assessment <br />sprelld over a certain number of years. <br /> <br />Mayor Nethercut felt Arden Hills could not do anything at 1"hls time <br />llbout this situation; she would still have to hook up to Rosevllle <br />regardless of an Arden Hills water system. There was some discussion <br />of possibly servicing homes on Coanty Road D from an Arden Hills <br />system by bringing the mains in from the north rather than Install- <br />ing another main along County Road D. Matter referred to Engineer <br />for possible Arden Hills hook up. <br /> <br />Request for RIQht-of-way Vacation <br />Mr. James Wingert, owner of Lot I, Block 3, Shorewood Hills No.6, <br />requests the Vlllllge vaca1"e a short rlgh1"-of-WllY off Rolling Hills <br />ROlld, which Is adjacent to his property. This right-of-way was <br />originally planned for a road but has never been developed and does <br />not seem feasible to be used as such because of the change In surround- <br />ing area. Discussion followed regarding retaining anough of the rlght- <br />of-way for a pedestrian walk In view of the proposed librllry site. <br /> <br />Matter referred to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />-5- <br />
