Councl I requested the Clerk to check Into the matter. <br /> <br />Mr. Timm noticed that the "For Sale" sign Is no longer on the Sklldum <br />property He requests that the building material on this site be removed <br />and the area cleaned of weeds and debris. <br /> <br />Shorewood Drive Problems <br />Mr. Don Reloux, 3209 Shorewood Drive, informed the Council that a number of <br />people congregate and picnic on their front lawn, even though signs are <br />posted that this is private property. He stated that there are conservation <br />Id drainage easements on this property, but no other. He inquired If this <br />ea could be declared a nuisance area and thereby posted by the Police <br />, partment. <br /> <br />Clerk Stromquist Informed the Counci I that this is a perennial problem wIth <br />the property owners In this area. <br /> <br />Matter referred to Attorney Courtney to recommend a solution to the policing <br />matter and also the types and sizes of easements. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ATTORNEY COURTNEY <br /> <br />Case No. 66-28, Elbner-Starr Plat <br />The Misses Elbner and Starr were present and there was discussion concerning <br />ownership of the proposed road easement; he believes that this cannot be <br />dedicated as a public road, unless the people who have the right to use it <br />as a private road agree to the dedication for public use. Hi I Is; seconded by Trustee Olmen; motion carrled.~ <br /> <br />The original and two copies were given by Attorney Court y to Clerk Strom- <br />quist with two copies of the Certificate for completion Attorney Courtney <br />also p~epared an application for relief of real esta taxes on the Helman <br />property for the year 1967 and subsequent years. Het:informed the Councll <br />that the 1966 real estate taxes wi II remain on the property, unless the <br />Village determl~~5 to pay them. <br /> <br />Trustee Olmen moved Clerk Stromquist be authorIzed to execute and process <br />the applicatIon, seconded by Trustee Crepeau; motion carried. <br /> <br />LIbrary Site Purchase Resolution <br />Trustee Olmen moved the adoption of a ResolutIon authorizing acquisitIon <br />of property from Bethel College for a library site; seconded by Trustee <br />4itepeau; motion carried. <br /> <br />Library Site Earnest Money Contract <br />Trustee Olmen moved the edoptlon of a Resolution authorizing executIon of <br />an Ernest Money Contract between the Vii lage of Arden Hi I Is and Bethel <br />Col lege and authorizing the Vii lage Attorney to make changes as necessary <br />In the contract; seconded by Trustee Crepeau; motion carrIed. <br /> <br />The total purchase price of the site is $25,000.00; amount cal led for In <br />Earnest Money Contract - $500.00. The closing date Is tentatively set for <br />the end of June,by quit claim deed and not be abstract of title.
