Dr. Tony Holvlk, 3145 Shoreline <br />Lane, expressed his opinion that possibly County Road 0 could be re- <br />graded to eliminate the problems of navinatlng It during Incl~m.nt <br />weather: he thought this would be an appropriate time to start con- <br />sidering this because of the eventual Improvement of Lake Josephine <br />park by the County. Another resident requested consideration for Shore- <br />wood Drive which Is also almost Impossible to navigate during certain <br />weather conditions. Matter referred to the Public Works Committee. <br /> <br />Employment Applications <br />Trust~e Olmen moved, seconded by Trustee Bjorndahl, that Robert L. <br />Booth, 2070 Terrace Drive, and Lawrence R. Schumi, 1055 Cumberland Stroet, <br />be employed by the Public Works Department on a part time basis at a <br />rate of $3.00 per hour, effective 30 January, 1967: motion carried. <br />(Trustee Olmen left the meeting at this time - 10:40 p.m.) <br /> <br />REPORT OF BUILDING INSPECTOR CLAY KELLEY <br /> <br />Circle S Ranch <br />Clay Kelley reported that he has posted the Circle S Ranch for no occu- <br />pancy and the notice has been removed seversl times; the status of <br />the place Is about the same and he will continue to repost as recommended <br />by the attorney. <br /> <br />Sewer Odor <br />Mr. Kelley reported that he had checked the area east of the access road <br />to Control Data near County Road F and Fernwood Avenue and stated that <br />there Is definitely an unpleasant odor, but feels it is not sewer gas; <br />It appears to be more of a musty smel I. He stated that If this Is <br />seepage, It probably covers a large area and the heavy snow cover makes <br />It Impossible to determine at this time. <br /> <br />Mayor Nethercut suggested waiting for better weather to attempt to make <br />a determination. <br /> <br />REPORT OF TRUSTEE CREPEAU <br /> <br />Fire Protection Contract <br />Trustee Crepeau moved, seconded by Trustee Bjorndahl, that the Fire <br />Protection Contrsct be ~"proved subject to the opinion of the Village <br />Attorney, ~~t~aan tbe Vii iage and the Lake Johanna Volunt.er Fire Depart- <br />ment at a cost of $6,720.00 for coverage during the year 1967; this <br />Is the last year of the five-year agreement: motion carried. <br /> <br />Squad Car Specifications <br />Trustee Crepeau reported the specifications for a new squad car will <br />be submitted to Attorney Courtney for review. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Request for Sewer Assessment Abatement <br />Trustee Crepeau read a letter from Bernhard LeVander, 3550 Siems Court, <br />requesting abatement of a portion of his sewer assessment. Matter <br />referred to Attorney Courtney; letter given to Clerk Lorraine Strom- <br />quist. <br /> <br />Public Safety Committee Appointment <br />Trustee Crepeau moved the re-appolntment of John Rysgaard, 3947 Rol ling <br />HI I Is Road, to the Public Safety Committee; seconded by Trustee Hollen- <br />horst; motion carried. <br /> <br />-5- <br />
