Resolution - Insurance Benefits <br /> Final draft of this Resolution, as submitted by Atty. Courtney, was <br /> read by Mayor Bjorndahl. <br /> Councilman Crepeau moved the adoption of an amended Resolution, as <br /> . attached, ratifying and authorizing payment of Insurance benefits for <br /> employees during 1968, and establishing procedure for 1969 and there- <br /> after; seconded by Co~ncllman Hollenhorst; motion carried. <br /> Water Ordinance Amendment - Final ' Read I ng <br /> Mayor Bjorndahl read that portion of Atty. Courtney's letter, dated <br /> December 9, 1968, regarding this subject; Councilman Henderson read <br /> the final d ra ft. Memo from R. McNiesh, Chairman of the Public Works <br /> Committee, was read by Mayor BJorndahl. <br /> Councilman Crepeau moved the rules be waived and the second and final <br /> reading be given to an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 103, re I a tin g <br /> to the municipal water system, to establish a procedure for the pay- <br /> ment of connection fees for Arden Hi lis property serviced by outside <br /> water systems; altering the charges thereIn as deposits on water meters; <br /> and altering the provisions therein regarding water meter settings; <br /> seconded by Councilman Henderson; motion carried. <br /> Arden Hi lis - Grudnoske Land Purchase Contract <br /> Mayor Bjorndahi read the pertinent portion of Atty. Courtney's letter <br /> of December 9, 1968. Mr. Grudnoske and his attorney, Mr. Ti mothy <br /> Quinn, were present. They were agreeable to the terms of the contract, <br /> including the repair of the well before the contract is completed. <br /> Councilman Henderson moved that Atty. Courtney be authorized to con- <br /> clude the contract between Arden Hills and Harold Grudnoske for the <br /> purchase of certain described land south and east of the Village <br /> Ha II for $25,000; seconded by Counci Iman Crepeau; motion carried. <br /> ~endinQ Machine Ordinance - First Reading <br /> Councilman Crepeau Introduced by title and gave the fl rst reading to <br /> an Ordinance licensing vending machines, establishing license fees <br /> therefor, and establ ishing penalties for violation; secon ded by <br /> Counci Iman Henderson; motion carried. <br /> REPORT OF ENGINEER DONALD LUND <br /> . North End Sewer Report <br /> Engineer Lund distributed to the council his report regarding sewer <br /> for the north area of Arden Hills <br /> Engineer Lund summarized the two plans as follows: <br /> . Plan No. 1 utilizes the existing sewers within Arden <br /> Hills as an outlet; estimated cost of this plan - <br /> $261,600.00 <br /> Plan No. 2 utilizes a connection to the sewers In the <br /> Village of New Brighton, and ultimately the N.S.S.S.D. - <br /> estimated cost of $153,600, excluding costs from Uew <br /> Brighton and the N.S.S.S.D. <br /> Banister Engineering Co. recommends Plan No. l' the details In the <br /> , <br /> report show this plan to be more economical than Plan No. 2 . con- <br /> sidering future costs. <br /> A copy of the report was given to Mr. Adams, Twin City Trailer Park. <br /> Counc i I was requested to study the report; clerk directed to send a <br /> copy of the report to Atty.
