<br />t nr <br /> <br />Minutes of ReQular Counci I MeetlnQ <br />October 14, 1968 - <br />Pafle Two <br /> <br />Valentine Lake View Plat No.2 <br />Afforney-Courfney-revlewed-hl; letter to Council, dated 19/9/68, <br />cc to Mr. Brodie, IndlcatlnQ several Items which he felt should be <br />clarified on the final plat: <br /> <br />Mr. James Johnson, developer of this proposed plat, was present and <br />advised he had talked with the '~Innesota Hlflhway Oepartment reflardlnfl <br />. the plat, and was advised that they had approved the preliminary <br />plat and have no objections to the final plat. He also talked with <br />N.S.P. Co. reflardlnfl the three Utility Easements referred to In Atty. <br />Courtney's letter. N.S.P. explained to him that the 1959 easement <br />was an option that was not exercised by N,S.P., the 1942 easement <br />~ was also not belnfl used by N.S.P. The third easement extends across <br />a corner of the plat for a transmission line, which Mr. Georfll has <br />added to the plat, submitted to Attorney Courtney. <br /> <br />Attorney Courtney advised that Mr. Johnson obtain a release from <br />N,S.P, for the 1942 and 1959 utility. easements, one of whiCh Includes <br />a provision for a push brace whiCh Is not shown on the amended plat. <br /> <br />He further advised that Mr. Georgi clarify the descrlptl~ns of the <br />Highway Dept. takings for concurrence In language. <br /> <br />Because of the time element Involved, and the urgency of potential <br />purchasers to construct basements for two homes In th I s P I at before <br />frost, Mr. Johnson requested that the matter be expedited If possible. <br />It was moved by Councilman Henderson and seconded by Councilman Olmen <br />that Council approve the amended plat authorizing It to be signed <br />by Mayor and Clerk as approved by the Planning Commission at a <br />special meetln g to be scheduled after the amended plat Is submitted by <br />Mr. Johnson. (Several copies to be submitted). The amended plat <br />should Include the above clarification requlr~ents; motion carrIed. <br />The Clerk was requested to forward the executed copies of the plat <br />to Attorney Courtney for final review. Mr. Johnson was advised that <br />after this has been accomplished, he then must file the approved <br />plat with the Ramsey County Plat Commission for approval. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN E. The Village has the first chance at ownership on tax-forfleted pr~erty, <br />If It deslr~ to exercise Its option, but the previous owner has <br />Indicated that he would like to have the property back. The Change-order has been prepared and <br />maIled to the VIllaQe offIce. He advised that the orlQlnal cost was <br />estimated at t7,OOO:00 but the actual cost of $5,852 resulted because <br />of 200 feet less construction required.
