He stated that If this portion of Lakevlew <br />Avenue is vacated, he Intends to use part of It to place an addition <br />to his house, which would enable his home to receive sewer service. <br />He Is agreeable to granting a drainage easement to the vi Ilage, but <br />the recommendation of En~lneer Lund for a dralnane easement over the <br />north 10 ft does Inter~ere with his plans, Coun~11 requested Mr. <br />Lindgren to consult with Engr. Lund on an alternate solution to the <br />easement matter. <br /> <br />- <br />- <br /> <br />Mayor BJorndahl asked for comments from the floor; there beIng none, <br />he called the hearing to a close. <br /> <br />Councilman Hollenhorst moved tha adoption of a Resolution, as attached, <br />vacating a described portion of lakeview Avenue; and authorized Its <br />execution by the mayor and clerk, and the filIng of the notice of <br />vacation; seconded by CouncIlman Crepeau; motion carried. <br /> <br />BUSINESS FROM THE FLCOR <br /> <br />Status of Red Fox Road <br />Ramsey-Counfy-Commtssloner Ed Salverda was present and explained that <br />the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners has delayed action for one <br />week on the status of Red Fox Road. <br /> <br />~~!~-L~~[2~~~~~!~!~~_~_~~~~~~_~2~ntY-~i~[~[~ <br />t4ayor BJorndahl stated that, according to Treas, Wnrth Read, the HUO <br />application Is now receiving dIrect review, but there Is not much <br />chance of water service to the library site this fall. <br /> <br />Mrs. Palmer, Director of Ramsey County Libraries, was present and <br />asked for consideration of extendln~ the water line the three-fourths <br />of a mile along New Brighton Road from the Improvement 68-1. She <br />Informed the council that a well would cost about $2,000, and possibly <br />$5,500, for six months use and then there would also be the cost of <br />the water improvement assessment. <br /> <br />Mr, Read Informed the council that If this portion of Improvement 68-2 <br />Is constructed now, the request for financial assistance from HUO <br />would be dropped, but, perhaps, HUO would consider expediting the <br />vii lage's request for water from the library, and, also, from the pro- <br />posed new elementary school within this improvement project. Mr. Swan- <br />son, Mounds View School District 621, stated that the Board will send <br />a formal letter of request for water to the council. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Case No. 68-19 1245 Amble Road <br />--------------~--------------- <br />Clay Kelley reported that the Board of Appeals had recommended denial <br />of the request from Sussell, Inc. to conSTruct a garage at the Melvin <br />Jensen residence, /245 Amble Road, which would require both frorrt and <br />sIde setback variances. Mr. Kelley expressed his opi~lon that an <br />acceptable plan could be worked out and recommended further planning. <br />Mr. Jensen was present and informed the council that he now has a <br />revised plan, which was dIscussed, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Councilman Hol lenhorst moved approval of the revised plan with a front <br />setback of 47 ft and a side setback of 40 ft, with proper screenlnQ <br />so the house and garage appear to be attached; plan to be re-referred <br />to the Board of Appeals and the Planning Commission for concurrence; <br />seconded by Councilman Crepeau; motion carried. <br /> <br />LAN[ <br />~~~~-~2.:"_~!!.~~L_~!!.!.~~!!.~L'=~L~!.~L~ <br />Councilman Hollenhorst moved, seconded by Councilman Crepeau, that <br />the final plat of Valentine Lake Plat No.2 be approved subject to the <br />approval of Attorney Courtney and Engr.
