He Informed the Council that <br />Control Data now requests Council consideration of not assessing <br />them If Fernwood Avenue Is ever extended. Attorney Courtney <br />stated that he has a copy of a letter, dated April 19, 1968, from <br />Control Data to their attorney stating this condition. <br /> <br />Mayor Bjorndahl recommended the Village study possible road projects <br />before making a decision. <br /> <br />Joint Village Facilities <br />Mayor Bjorndahl reported that Shorevlew requests Arden Hills to <br />consider joint vii lage facll itles as stated In their 701 Plan. <br />Attorney Courtney wll I submit a report on any legal Implications. <br />Council members requested to study the matter. <br /> <br />Shoreview Comprehensive Plan <br />Councilman Hollenhorst Informed the Council that the Metro Council <br />had submitted Shorevlew's plans with a letter stating that Arden <br />Hills must state any objections within 10 days. Council felt the <br />only study necessary was the zoning of the abutting property, which <br />Councilman Hollenhorst had checked and found compatible. No <br />further action necessary. <br /> <br />Employees' Insurance Resolution <br />Mayor Bjorndahl requested Attorney Courtney to prepare a Resolution <br />regarding Village employees' Insurance. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ENGINEER LUND <br /> <br />Revised Water Improvement 68-2, Feasibility Report <br />Engineer Lund submitted a feasibility report, dated May 13, 1968, <br />for providing water service to the Shorewood Hills-Valentine Hllis <br />area. Estimated cost of the project Is $493,000.00, which Includes <br />$47,700.00 for laterals (Thom Drive, CleveUand and Hudson Avenues.) <br />~f~~it.1...o ~.... <br />Councilman Olmen moved that~a ~ubllc hearfng for'Water Improvement <br />68-2 be held on June II, 1968, at 8:00 p.m. at Mounds View High <br />School, authorl7~d the publication and the mailing .of legal notices, <br />and authorized Banister Engineering Co. to prepare plans an~ spec.l- <br />f~~~f~; seconded by Councilman Crepeau; motion carrled.'~ <br /> <br />In response to an Inquiry from Councilman Hollenhorst, Engineer <br />Lund stated that the plans and specifications could be used at a <br />!ater date, If the Council determined not to proceed with this im- <br />provement at this time. <br /> <br />Clerk requested to arrange with the Mounds View School District <br />for a meeting place, preferably the Little Theater section again. <br /> <br />Clerk also requested to notify the Ramsey County Library Board <br />of the above action. <br /> <br />Mayor Bjorndahl stated that the Village Is Investigating the <br />possibility of Federal Aid for the water Improvements. Ex-Mayor <br />Nethercut has some Information regarding this. Mayor Bjorndahl <br />has written to Representative Karth and Mr. Hetland, Metro Council, <br />regarding this matter. Representative Karth has already replied <br />and will send us fact sheets, etc. The matter was referred to <br />the Finance Committee <br /> <br />Sewer Feasibility Report - Liv-A-Snaps. Inc. <br />Engineer Lund submitted a feasibility report, dated May 13, 1968, <br />for sewer service to the proposed Llv-A-Snaps, Inc. building on <br />Fernwood Avenue, west of Control Data Corp. <br /> <br />Estimated cost of the project Is $19,500.00 Engineer Lund also <br />presented a map outlining the plan. Clerk requested to make caples <br />of this report for Council members. Councilman Crepeau moved the <br />Public Hearing for this project be held at the Village Hall on June 10, <br />1968, at 8:00 p.m., authorized the publication of the notice and <br />the mailing of the legal notices; authorized Banister Engineering <br /> <br />-3- <br />
