An <br />agreement was attached to the letter, stating that portions of this <br />amount are refundable to the Village as additional customers are <br />connected to the main within a ,5r-year 'period. Matter referred to <br />the Public Works Committee. Clerk requested to send copy of the <br />letter and agreement to Chairman Bop McNlesh. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN HOLLENHORST - Planning and Zoning <br /> <br />Case No. 68-8. McClunQ BulldlnQ Permit <br />Councilman Hollenhorst moved, as recommended by the Planning <br />CommiSSion, that a building permit be. Issued to John B. McClung <br />for a home on 1/3 acre of property on North Snelling Avenue, subject <br />to a final plat and the remaining 2/3 acre not be developed until <br />sanitary sewer Is available; seconded by Councilman Henderson; <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />Case No. 67-14, Skelly 011 Company <br />Councilman Hollenhorst reported that a service station report, da1ed <br />April 1968, was received. <br /> <br />Councilman Hollenhorst moved, seconded by Councilman Henderson, to <br />authorize approval of a special use permit to Skelly 011 Co. to <br />construct a service station at Lexington Avenue and Red Fox Road, <br />subject to the following conditions: <br />I. A performance bond, In the amount of $1,000.00, assur- <br />Ing the Village of completion of landscaping as Indi- <br />cated on plan to be submitted to Carl Dale for approval. <br />2. Exception of the sign location, Indicated on the site <br />plan of 4/2/68. <br />3. Access to Lexington Avenue to be surrendered when <br />service road Is constructed along west side of Lexing- <br />ton Avenue. <br />4. Engineer's approval of grading and utilities. <br />5. Skelly type 56 building to be constructed with brick <br />facing on all four sides and subject to approval of <br />building Inspector. <br />Motion carrl..ri. <br /> <br />. <br />. <br /> <br />GaraQe SIZ9 Review <br />The Council concurred with the Planning Commission's recommendation <br />that 750 square feet Is adequate for a residential garage for the <br />follOWing reasons: <br />I. Tendency to use garages for commercia! purposes when <br />larger than necessary for ordinary storage. <br />2. Fire hazard could be Increased where more gasoline, <br />etc. could be stored. <br />Councilman Holfenhorst further explaIned the CommIssion felt special <br />permission couid be granted depending on specific situations.
