He suggested that a copy of the signed <br />contract be sent to Mr. Schleppergrell at Shorevlew and Inform him <br />that a meeting could be arranged after he has studied the contract. <br /> <br />Sewer Assessment - Ramsev County Llbrarv <br />Clerk Lorraine Stromquist received a letter, dated 4/29/68, from <br />Attorney Courtney which stated that Ramsey County could be assessed <br />for the sewer service to their proposed site, but recommended that <br />a determination be made on other property which would benefit from <br />this Improvement. <br /> <br />Matter referred to Engineer Lund to determine allocation of costs. <br /> <br />Human RIQhts Ordinance <br />Mayor BJorndahl stated he had received a call from Mrs. Dorothy <br />Sullivan, President of the Arden Hills League of Women Voters, In- <br />forming him that the League has decided to'study the local problem <br />of human rights In Arden Hills; the Jaycees also have an Interest <br />In It. He suggested that copies of the rough draft of this Ordin- <br />ance be submitted to these two organizations for their recommendatlon~ <br /> <br />Councilman Hollenhorst moved an Ordinance establishing a human rights <br />commission and providing for Its duties and responsibilities be <br />introduced by title and given Its first reading; seconded by Council- <br />man Crepeau) motion carried. <br /> <br />Personnel Ordinance Amendment <br />Attorney Courtney submitted a rough draft, with copies to the Council <br />members, of an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 83, regarding <br />personnel administration, changing sick leave provisions, permitting <br />discretionary sick leave, and authorizing payment of health Insura~cw <br />benefits. <br /> <br />Action delayed to allow for further study, <br /> <br />Resolution - Public Works Department Salaries <br />Councilman Hollenhorst moved the adoption of a Resolution, as <br />attached, regarding salary schedule for 1968 for employees of Public <br />Works Department; seconded by Councilman Olmen) carried. <br /> <br />Contract - Water Booster Station <br />Attorney Courtney reported that the contract for this project Is now <br />In order, and recommends Village acceptance. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />Councilman Henderson moved that the contract between the Village of <br />Arden Hills and the Healy Plumbing and Heating Company In the <br />amount of $58,000.00 be accepted, and authorized the Mayor and Clerk <br />tO,slgn the contract) seconded by Councilman Olmen; motion carried. <br /> <br />Bulldln~ Code Revisions <br />Attorney Courtney prepared and submitted a rough draft of these <br />revisions, <br /> <br />Councilman Hollenhorst moved that an Ordinance amending Ordinance No.3 <br />the Bulldln~ Code, by providing for design of certain buildings by <br />registered architects or engineers, requiring performance bonds In <br />certain cases, and Imposing additional ~oqulrements on construction <br />of multiple family dwelling) be Introduced by title and given Its <br />first reading; seconded by Councilman CrepeDu; motion carried. <br /> <br />Referred to the Planning Commission for turt~ar study. <br /> <br />-3- <br />
