<br />.. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council iHnu'tes - ~prll 8,1968 - coc"dnued <br /> <br />Trustee Hollenhorst moved approval of the contract between the <br />VllJage of Arden Hills and the Plttsburgh-DesMolnes Steel Company <br />for the hydro-pillar type water tank In the amount of $i24,700.00, <br />with a 220 day delivery date; subject to approval of Attorney <br />Courtney; seconded by councilman Henderson; motion carried. <br /> <br />Personnel Ordinance <br />Attorney Courtney has reviewed the present Ordinance and will send <br />a letter to Mayo~ BJorndahl outlIning the basIc dIfferences as <br />related to present labor negotiations with maintenance employees. <br /> <br />Rental A~reement - Maintenance Equipment Stora~e <br />Mayor Bjorndahl requested Attorney Courtney to prepare a rental <br />agreement between the Village and Harold Grudnoske, for the storage <br />of VIllage-owned equipment on the property east of the Village Hall. <br />Mayor Bjorndahl explained that storing the equipment In the open <br />creates an Insurance problem. <br /> <br />Oak Avenue Petition for Water <br />Mayor Bjorndahl informed the Council of a petition for water from <br />property owners on Oak Avenue. This could be Included In Water. <br />Improvement 68-1, as stated by Fiscal Agent Peter Popovich If.the <br />cost would be less than 20% of the estimated cost of the entire <br />project. Petition referred to Engineer Lund to prepare a cost <br />estimate for Oak Avenue and also for Pascal Avenue and to determine <br />whether the petItion contains the desired 35% of property owners. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ENGINEER DONALD LUND <br /> <br />Water Area No.2 <br />Engineer Lund reported that the water petition for this area had <br />signatures of only 28% of the propert~ owners. According to the <br />minutes of the Council meeting of March 25, 1968, Donald Kostohryz, <br />1405 Arden Place, who submitted the petition, stated that If the <br />petition did not contain at least 35%, he would attempt to contact <br />the property owners who were not available when the petition was <br />circulated. Referred to Clerk Lorraine Stromquist to I~form Mr. <br />Kostohryz of the status of this petition. Engineer Lund s~bmitted <br />a favorable feasibility report, dated April 5, 1968, and a 'cost <br />estimate of $308,740.00. <br /> <br />Water Area No. I <br />Engineer Lund reported that the petition for water for Area No. I <br />represented more than 50% of the property owners. Upon mofion by <br />Hollenhorst, seconded by Crepeau, a feasibility report and cost <br />estimate was or,jered by the Councll1; motion carried. ~ <br />.
