Report referred to <br />Council members for study. <br /> <br />Sewer Feasibility Report - Ramsey County Library Site <br />Letter dai"ed April 4, 1968 from Engineer Lund to the Councl I In- <br />cluded a feasibility report for this project with a cost estimate <br />os $5,800.00. Upon motion by Crepeau, seconded by Hollenhorst, the <br />Council authorized Banister Engineering Company to prepare plans <br />and specifications for the project; motion carried. <br /> <br />Clerk requested to check with Attorney Courtney regarding the legal <br />procedure to provide assessing Ramsey County for this Improvement. <br /> <br />DralnaQe Problem - Harkins Miniature Golf <br />Engineer Lund reported that he believes the water condition at <br />Harkins Is not a result of water construction; Council requested <br />Engineer Lund to so Inform Mr. Kestner who manages the Miniature <br />Golf. <br /> <br />Water Proiect Clean Up <br />Engineer Lund informed the Council that the contraci"or for Water <br />Improvement 67-1 will start soon on clean up work. Engineer Lund <br />will so Inform Mrs. John S~xton, 3180 North Hamiine Avenue who <br />had written to the Village concerning this matter. <br /> <br />DralnaQe Matter <br />Engineer Lund will pursue the ponding problem at Carlton Drive <br />and T! lIer Lane. <br /> <br />REPORT OF BUILDING INSPECTOR CLAY KELLEY <br /> <br />UnslQhtly Area <br />Mr. Kelley reported a complaint had been received concerning five <br />buildings on Lake Johanna Blvd. north of Lake Lane. He Informed <br />the Council that there are two out houses In this area, and a <br />complete lack of maintenance. Council requested Mr. Kef ley to <br />submit the five addresses to Clerk Lorraine Stromquist who will <br />refer the matter to Dr. Farkas, Health Officer; Mr. Kelley <br />offered to accompany Dr. Farkas on the Inspection. <br /> <br />Texaco Station - Cleveland and County Road 0 <br />After some discussion, the Councl I agreed that fencIng would be <br />effective for screening wheels, tires, etc. necessary to the opera- <br />tion at this station. Council authorized Mr. Kelley to Issue the <br />bui ldlng permit. <br /> <br />Complaints had also been received concerning the 24-hour operation <br />of this station and the noise factor. Councilman Crepeau Informed <br />the Council that the operator of this statIon Is cooperative and he <br />will request that the operator be more considerate of the neighbors. <br /> <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN HOLLENHORST <br /> <br />Case No. 68-3, Preliminary Subdivision Plan <br />Engineer Lund requested clarification regarding who Is to obtain the <br />soil percolation test. Councilman Holienhorst Informed him that <br />Mr. James Johnson is responsible for havIng the testing done, with <br />the results submitted to Engineer Lund. <br /> <br />Case No. 68-6. Llv-A-Snaps. Inc. <br />Councilman Hollenhorst Informed the CouncIl that Liv-A-Snaps, Inc. <br />proposes to build a 34,000 sq. ft. building west of Control Data. <br />Liv-A-Snaps, inc. prepares dog and cat food products. Building <br />Inspector Kelley and members of the PlannIng Commission visIted their <br />present operation and found no objectionable odors. <br /> <br />Councilman Hol fenhorst moved approval, as recommended by the Plan- <br />ning Commission, of a building permit to allow Liv-A-Snaps, Inc. to <br />construct a 34,000 squ. ft. bullding for their operation, subject to <br />Bldg. Inspector Kelley's approval of the building plans, subject to <br />C. Dale's approval of the landscape plans, and the receipt of a per- <br />formance bond for the landscaping in the amount of 2t times the cost <br />-3- <br />
